Ok, I went to do a search for a fruvous region, but accidently typed it in the create box, instead of search. So now there is in fact a region with the simple name of "fruvous".

The people of Tylcot have recently braced their houses and have moved to the land of Fr�vous.

I really wish there was a way to get more issues, and/or get legislation enacted more quickly.

 

Well, you can get two a day... the first one goes into effect in the evening if you do.

Yeah, but I want, like, 5 or 6 a day.

And to have them go into effect immediately.

mmm... that way I could see real-time how they modify the country.

Problem with that is that apparently there are only a couple dozen issues in total...  So you're gonna work through them in an awful hurry at 2 a day.

There was a tiny effect on mine I think... I actually resigned from it recently, because the resolutions that were being proposed were not worthwhile... they were silly things about the gameplay that were going to end up affecting our countries but weren't actually going to happen. people were being told this in the un forums and they didn't pay attention. so i fled. heh.

I get it from the page about the Fruvous region, which says:

The Most Comprehensive Public Healthcare in fruvous

The following nations have extremely good public healthcare facilities, given their population.

So, your health care may be fine, but it doesn't compare too well to the other nations in Fruvous.

If you go to "list all nations" at the top of the page, you'll get an unbiased, alphabetical list.  (Which, unlike the UN report, includes me.  :))

Has anyone else found that they're unable to get into the forums on nationstates?

From the FAQ:

Known Problems (Feb-03): The forum isn't working very well at the moment. It can be tough to gain access to it at all during periods of high demand, which is pretty much anytime the USA is awake. Unfortunately this seems to be a limitation of the forum software I installed: it doesn't handle 100,000 users very well. I am investigating solutions.

So, I noticed that Talcott, our UN delegate, has only 1 endorsement out of the 6 UN members in the region.  While the UN doesn't seem to actually affect the game at all, it might be nice to foster an illusion of being slightly more powerful by agreeing on a delegate we can all endorse, who would then get more votes.  I'm not nominating anyone or declaring an intention to campaign for the post, just speculating.  Debate among yourselves.  :)

Honestly, I don't care though. The game told me I was UN delegate. Nothing happens when you are, we'll my flag shows up on top, but that's fair because I have the best flag :D

You can't resign. It doesn't work that way. You became the delegate because The Dominion of Gilesean Goodness endorsed you and nobody else did any endorsing. Since then there have been some endorsments, but it seems that ties don't change the deligate. Only more votes. So anyway, thanks to your return endorsement of The Dominion of Gilesean Goodness, along with endorsements of them by The Grand Duchy of Garbonza and The Borderlands of Hairy McClary, The Dominion of Gilesean Goodness is now our NEW deligate. Should there be a more formalized debate about this? Possibly.

I'm sorry, Talcott, I didn't intend to imply that you weren't excellently qualified to be the UN delegate.  My point wasn't that you should be replaced, but that we should consider trying to get a slightly more powerful delegation by giving one person multiple endorsements.  :)

(Though, of course, I'm not sure I can be represented by a creative writing buff whose currency is the written word who doesn't know the difference between "you're" and "your." ;P)

The Government Position

I totally agree. I was all for #3 until they the last two sentences. I was like "okay, why are they complicating an obvious issue of gun control (regardless of your views on the matter) with censorship?"

Anyways, I just dismissed the issue, which as far as I can tell doesn't do anything to affect your description or policies.
