the first post?!

woo hoo!
bored, bored, bored.... · 22 years ago
I definitely would. Although price *would* be an issue. Considering the Canadian dollar is hovering around $ .63...

Oh, almost forgot - First post. Woohoo.
bored, bored, bored.... Back · 22 years ago
Damn! :-D
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 22 years ago
Is it the Canadian dollar that's hovering arond $0.63 or is it all of Canada? :-)
Andrea Krause Back · 22 years ago
Nah, Canada's hovering around 49.
Back · 22 years ago
:P
ellen · 22 years ago
hey, I'd be more than willing to voulenteer my design services :D
Bruce Rose · 22 years ago
Not only would I buy an "official" shirt, I've been secretly planning "bootleg" shirts for about two years now. None have come to fruition, since my computer is a royal POS (and I don't mean point-of-sale).
Cost would be an issue of when I'd buy the shirt, but not really if I'd buy it.

There'll be a Pete Best reference on the shirt, right? I don't think I could support it otherwise.
betsy =) Back · 22 years ago
i want pete best too!!!!
emilie is CRANKY · 22 years ago
i don't care how much it would cost. i'll just put it on my mum's visa card, and pay her back in instalments :D just gimme the damn t-shirt!! :D
sheryls · 22 years ago
i hate white shirts, and i dont really wear tshirts, but i loves me some babydolls. can we have babydolls?? :D
nate... Back · 22 years ago
Yeah, definitely NOT white.
Ugh on white tshirts.
Mamalissa! Back · 22 years ago
definitely babydolls! Or at the very least, V-necks.
goovie is married! Back · 22 years ago
what a great idea! and babydolls babydols babydolls!
It's a girl! Back · 22 years ago
amen! badydolls with pete best on them!
Talcott Back · 22 years ago
I agree, very much so!
Well, on the non-white shirt part at least. I don't think anyone wants to see me in a babydoll ;)

Actually, one of my favorite frshirts is the one from Frcon II (yes, I know I wasn't even there). What about something like that on the front, and then some sort of writing or something on the back?
Misch Back · 22 years ago
I'm with Talcott. No babydolls for me either.
Mamalissa! Back · 22 years ago
re: the subject line...are we talking about Jian here?
Erica: movin' to Ohio!! · 22 years ago
make it black. let's be dismal for once!! we're all too damn cheerful. white shirts, indeed.humph.
nate... Back · 22 years ago
Either black or, like, another dark color... like olive or something.
Annika Back · 22 years ago
Oooh! Olive would be nice! I'd buy one for my whole family. I have a very large family btw.
emilie is CRANKY Back · 22 years ago
heehee... just trying to picture someone's family all squeezed into a huge olive fhdc babydoll :D
Annika Back · 22 years ago
lol, after I wrote that I thought the same thing.
Josh Woodward · 22 years ago
This is an idea I've been tossing around for years, and I'm finally getting off of my arse and doing something about it. My initial thought is a batch of plain white t-shirts to save you guys some money, but I'm seeing a little resistance to that. The other option is to go ahead with that, but also set up a CafePress shop for those who want something more customized and are willing to pay more. Thoughts?

Also, if anyone has any creative design ideas, shoot them my way :)
Andrea Krause Back · 22 years ago
I like the cafepress idea for variety. I'd rather pay more for something I really love than pay less for something I'll settle for because I want *something* :)
sheryls Back · 22 years ago
i like cafepress but they only deal in white shirts. grr on that! and thank god they changed their babydoll tees - they used to just be short tshirts. like regular sized but cut halfway. so they just hung there looking goofy. you should see my dungeons and hamsters one!! it's awful. i clean in it.

although how funny would the FHDC Thong be?! :D
Annika Back · 22 years ago
What is cafepress?
Josh Woodward Back · 22 years ago
it's a company that you give a design to, and they sell a billion different products from t-shirts to thongs to coffee mugs with the logo. the downside is that they're a lot more expensive than other options, but they're pretty flexible.
Mamalissa! Back · 22 years ago
I read that as "from t-shirts to bongs"
danced with Lazlo Back · 22 years ago
Dude, despite the fact that I have never smoked anything in my life I *SO* want an FHDC bong!!!
nate... Back · 22 years ago
I agree completely. :D
That would rock.
Andrea Krause Back · 22 years ago
Heheh put a drinking game on the back. :)

Carey and Gordon confuse people 1 drink
Talk degenerates to pets 1 drink
Michael sings Freedy Johnston 1 drink
Andrea complains about snow 1 drink
Someone changes their name 1 drink
People actually talk about Fruvous chug!

:)
sheryls Back · 22 years ago
or maybe like an "all i need to know about life i learned on fruhead.com"

or co-ed naked fruhead.com!

.......just kidding.
Josh Woodward Back · 22 years ago
that's not funny, andrea! we'd have dozens of people die from alchohol poisoning every day :)
Andrea Krause Back · 22 years ago
Well...but...they could drink soda! :)
danced with Lazlo Back · 22 years ago
or... pop.
Misch Back · 22 years ago
But when you mix soda with water, it becomes a really good antacid!
A girl named Becca Back · 22 years ago
What, someone saying "is that, like, a date?" doesn't deserve a drink? *Insulted look.

;)
Andrea Krause Back · 22 years ago
It was just a sample, see. That would most definitely be in the finished version. :)
A girl named Becca Back · 22 years ago
Wohoo! :)
*Feels special. Or at least appeased.

I guess whining pays off.
O:)
sheryls Back · 22 years ago
how about if someone is counting down to something in their name? like "3 days till my root canal!"
beth-pseudocanuck! Back · 22 years ago
what about "but what if i don't drink, you insensitive clod?!" at the bottom? hehehehe.
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 22 years ago
I don't know what in the name of Gregory you are talking about? Carey and confuse people? Maybe the Handyman's club of America but never FHDC. What would Skippy think of us? I better get together my travelling supplies and go.
goovie is married! Back · 22 years ago
well, i understood all of that, anyway. :)
Mamalissa! Back · 22 years ago
I understood a bit too much of that for my comfort. It can't be healthy.

Guam.
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 22 years ago
That's what you get for hanging out with the undesirable element.

Guam

Hoopoe forever
The Dark God Tchernobog · 22 years ago
I wouldn't. To be brutally honest I think t-shirts for websites are stupid.
nate... Back · 22 years ago
I agree on one level.
If there IS a shirt made, I don't think it should be, like, the web address, yada yada. Like, an ad. ya know?

I think it should be just "fhdc" at the most... and then some in-joke.

I, for one, don't want the general public to "get it".
danced with Lazlo Back · 22 years ago
<whine> This isn't a website... it's a *community* </whine>
Seriously, I don't think this is the same thing.
Talcott Back · 22 years ago
Yeah, I agree.
It's not like the shirts would say something like "www.fruhead.com, the place for all your discount frhead needs".

I do think we should have it as "fruhead.com", instead of "FHDC", but that's not a big issue with me either way.
nate... Back · 22 years ago
See.. but, then it's a web address.
And... web addresses on shirts annoy the hell out of me.
:P
sheryls Back · 22 years ago
see, what about Fruhead Dot Com?

although, i love my babydolls that say www.homestarrunner.com :) i gladly advertise for them! and i'd gladly advertise for fhdc too. :)
nate... Back · 22 years ago
naw, then people can still figure out it's a web site.

I still cringe every time I hear the mulvey song that starts "i just came from the guru's website"......
Even though the rest of the song is great... web sites are NOT to be sung about... and DEFINITELY not to be t-shirted.
:D
Talcott Back · 22 years ago
What's wrong about singing of a website?
Heck, I tend to have slightly ludite views on paper vs. electronic, but I don't see why books (as a whole) can be sung about, but not websites.
Or what about movies or tv shows?
*shrug* It's just another form of expression.
Agent Scully Back · 22 years ago
o/~ it's all about the pentiums baby o/~

:)
Josh Woodward Back · 22 years ago
i dunno, i like it. sorry, i think you're outvoted on this one :)
Agent Scully Back · 22 years ago

sheryls Back · 22 years ago

Agent Scully Back · 22 years ago
http://www.homestarrunner.com

download some of the songs from Strong Bad. :)
nate... Back · 22 years ago
Yeah, seen it. :)
Agent Scully Back · 22 years ago
It's all sheryl's fault! I always go to pages she recommends! :D
Josh Woodward Back · 22 years ago
eww.. don't post website addresses. they are ugly.
Josh Woodward Back · 22 years ago
I guess I'll have to put away my dozen or so Yahoo! t-shirts that I've accumulated over the years lest I risk being made fun of ;-)
Agent Scully Back · 22 years ago
Nah Josh, we'll still love you. :)

none of your t-shirts say...

do you Ya-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?

...do they?

Then we will not love you. ;)
Agent Scully Back · 22 years ago
So how many of you bought the FCIII t-shirt with the web address of FDC on the back?

Or even then, there is an OLD fruvous t-shirt that has a Josh Cragun (sp?) webpage on the back of it (the same web address in the "B" CD). I know I've seen a few people at shows with that T-shirt.

But then I have a t-shirt in small print has "geekculture.com" on it. :)
renita · 22 years ago
I'm not that fond of the cafe press shirts.

It has been my experience that they fade. and maybe that doesn't happen if you take 'proper care' of them--but I'm lazy. so. yah. that not gonna happen.

I sugest checking out Brunetto shirts.

They're silk screened and he has a lot of options as to t-shirt style.

Annika Back · 22 years ago
I have a friend that works at a place called "The Shirt House". They do silk screening, and all that. If I remember right they aren't that much if you order them in bulk.
