Did you care about the Olympics?

They're not over yet! :)
I enjoy watching...doesn't usually matter what. I even get sucked into curling. I don't tend to CARE about much, except maybe figure skating, but I still enjoy watching if I don't have anything else going on.
I love that, especially since I'm an SSX addict and I'm like "ooh! I can do that!! Um...y'know...with my game controller..." :)
I didn't think so - the women's figure skating doesn't start until the 22nd.
That's why I've been watching and DVRing it on CBC.
They showed the entire opening ceremony and without all that annoying talk too.

I have a new favorite winter olympic sport, Snowboard Cross. Bah, I just heard who won today's women's event on the radio. They should warn you when they are going to give a spoiler. Pretty funny that they mentioned the event just as I was writing about it.
Yeah I'm getting pissed at being unintentionally spoiled many times now. I have no problem with them reporting things as they happen and not waiting...but make it so you have to *seek out* that information...not so some schmo will stumble upon it if they didn't want to know. The other day I was on cnn.com or abcnews.com just in my normal course of the day and they flashed a top story about bode miller being disqualified from his race. grr. I didn't want to know! Similar things have happened to me several times this week and it just annoys me. I want to find out when/if I watch. If I don't watch, then I'll seek the answers out later!!
omg, I was just about to get in this thread and exhort everyone to hie themselves to a TV for snowboard cross! I LOVED watching the men's event last night--SO exciting! I was literally leaping out of my seat and cringing and yelling at my TV while watching Seth Wolcott's medal run last night. I'm SO watching the women tonight (though I have to stay away from most news sources as to avoid learning about the winner, as Gordon already did).
So what's it worth to you for me to not spill the beans?
If I don't get my extortion money I'll hire skywriters to give the winner.
WHOA! that was awful! she totally had it! I feel bad for her, but she shouldn't've pulled that "showboat" maneuver, as the NBC commentators called it. Still, one heck of a great race, even if it ended really poorly.
I finally found something that bores me to death, though. Ice dancing compulsories? *yawn*
Yeah that was stressy and heartbreaking. Big groan at our house. It's one thing to fall...but to blow it yourself? Must hurt.
And OMG yeah. Not only is it the same program over and over and over again to the same music...it's THREE LOOPS of the same moves within one program. Boring as hell.
It was so hard knowing all day that she'd do that. I give her credit for letting Bob Costas interview afterwards.
The worst part of the ice dancing is that they play the same music for each pair as they do the same dance. I didn't really pay attention to it at all but I don't think I could love anything so much that I'd watch and listen to exactly the same thing over and over again. Even if each dance was different I'd be ready to scream each time I heard the music. by the way even though you didn't pay me I'm glad you didn't see the sky writing.
