How do you take your coffee?

There is no other way. Once you taint it with foreign substances, it ceases to be coffee, and becomes instead a gooey evil liquid that isn't fit for swine.
I think it's one of those things you have to grow up around. I was drinking coffee back in junior high school (no references to Tweek here!). If I really stop and analyze it, it's not actually very good. But that's why I don't analyze it and I just sit back and enjoy it. :-)
BTW, every coffee lover owes it to themselves to get a french press. They're more of a pain to use, but the results are unreal. Yum.
Yup. I can remember when I was a "latch key" kid in 1980 (at the age of 9) and I used to have my cup of Brim after school. Brim was decaf, but I loved coffee even then. No one was home to tell me "well you are too young to be drinking coffee." Was I? :)
I love coffee. :)
I have to take exception to that My Favorite. Coffee is one of the foods of the gods along with Chocolate and Peanut Butter. Coffee might be the best smell there is.
I like it strong with cream, I usually have skim milk though to cut down on the calories.

Coffee tastes like crap. SMELLS amazing, which makes it all the more tragic that I hate the taste. People tell me that you have to add cream and sugar and flavors and stuff and then it's good. But that just seems wrong to me. If you have to disguise it then why bother? That's like changing someone to suit you instead of being fair to everyone and FINDING someone who suits you. :)
I kinda hate to point out that few people would eat chocolate if it did not have milk and sugar added. While adding things to coffee might be changing or disguising its "true" identity, I don't think that's a bad or wrong thing. Then again, I'm only half a coffee purist... I drink 100% Kona made with a French Press, but I add sugar. It's my morning candy. ;)
You do have a point. But at least with chocolate someone does the work for me. Heeee. (Which is an option with coffee, but 'spensive to do consistently!) :)
Now I know that you don't much care for plain milk, but you love chocolate milk. Well if you have to disguise it, why bother?

i used to loooove mocha, with loads of whipped cream and cinnamon on top :D but i can't drink coffee now. so i have to settle for hot chocolate instead. which isn't so bad. at least i can sleep after drinking one, anyway :D
Mmmm...earl grey tea is wonderful stuff - I'm a *big* tea drinker. But I have been known to stray to the coffee side occasionally. A really good cappuchino can just make your whole day. :)
Geek roll call? Over here! Over here!
(Don't worry - I'm not a Trekkie. I'm a Trekker. TNG all the way, baby!) And I actually don't like Earl Grey tea. I like Jasmine, or Irish Breakfast, or Lapsang Oolong.

...like my men.
(or, as my friend David would have it: I like my coffee like I like my men: old and weak) but for real - I like my coffee in ice cream form, or at least with milk and sugar.
I believe the actual saying is:
"I like my coffee hot and black.... just like I like my men." and... booyah! :) Reminds me of the old story about Chico Marx: Chico, by all accounts, was a total ladies man... kinda like Connery, so when he and his brothers were invited to a party at Tallulah Bankhead's home, he was warned to behave himself because she was not his usual "prey"..... From what I heard.. in writing and tv... Chico remained polite and the perfect gentleman for a bit..... then finally, while standing in a group with Bankhead, he just kinda said, "I want to f**k you." To which Bankhead replied: "And so you shall, you dear old-fashioned boy, you."
yeah, you just gotta love the random stories. *grin* :D
