Poll: Who is your favorite Trading Spaces designer?

That would be Vern Yip. :) He's my favorite too. He actually cares what the homeowners want and works his ass off. He's a real professional. Love the Vern!

Working his butt off... like the episode where he was redoing the dining room and couldn't get that ledge/counter off the wall! *heehee* I loved that one.

What the hell is Trading Spaces?

Trading Spaces is a show on TLC... where nieghbors, like, swap houses, and have to redecorate one room in each-other's house.
They get, like, a designer who works with them on it.

It can be amusing... but it's not one of my favs.

My favorite person on the show is Ty, I love Ty. ;)

TS is my second favorite show. :)

and changing rooms is the brit version, right? they show it on bbcamerica.

give me genevieve any day. she cares what they want, too. but she's still bold. sometimes i think vern caters a little TOO much to what they want, although he's a very close second fave for me.

the only other things you need to know about TS:
*frank's straight. honestly.
*doug's a JERK. grrr.
*paige is worlds better than alex.
*ty's a flirtatious, pompous dork. amy wynn's where it's at.

When Frank says "My wife...." I'm still not sure he means a woman.

And they're all hideous.

I prefer the show "Changing Rooms" along with "Ground Force."

ground force is blatantly the coolest gardening show on the face of the earth! :) there's alan, who never ever gets angry even when there's half an hour to go and nothing's done yet; there's charlie, who is notorious for never ever wearing a bra; and the other guy, the tall happy cockney builder bloke who, for some reason, half the female population of the UK fancy (i'm in the other half though). they always have decking and a rock garden and charlie does the water feature thing. go see it! all of you! :)

I had to vote for the last option even though I know what TS is, since there's no "I don't watch it" option. Could someone have put that in? (Judging by the commercials for the show, I wouldn't want to watch it anyway - some of the stuff they show is ATROCIOUS!!)

yeah, and why is there also no "i've seen trading spaces, but i haven't formed an opinion of who is best"? and also a "i know who is best, but i don't feel like saying"? and a "it is a tie between two, and those two are.."? hell, why don't we just let everyone put their own option in there just so we make sure that every shade of grey is covered.

I've seen "Trading Spaces" once and that was enough. I just can't fathom how some one would just let designers with no taste whatsoever decorate a room of their house and have no say about what will be there.

every time i've seen it, the homeowners say "i don't care what you do, but leave the ceiling fan". and every single time they trashed the fan. i'm sorry, but these people don't have any eye for practicality.

i'd only watch it on purpose if they had a special episode which consisted only of the reactions of the people who hated the results. that one where they reduced both of the homeowners to tears was priceless. :-)

someone wanna play Trading Bathrooms? mine is dirtier than frff-folk... and hell, i ain't cleanin' it.
