Business Attire Part II

   Discussion: Business Attire Part II
Annika · 19 years, 2 months ago
are both pretty hot!
Andrea Krause Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Hehehe...does hot work for job interview? :)
Annika Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Hot works for EVERYTHING! =)
Paul · 19 years, 2 months ago
This looks the most appropriate for a interview. If your worried about the weird tail walk out of the interview backwards!:-)
Andrea Krause Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
*snerk* :)
Paul Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
8 and 9 look nice too
Paul Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
actually 1 and 2 look very stylish as well.
Andrea Krause Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
1 and 8 are my personal favorites, but I never know what the outside world thinks. :)
Paul Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
you should go with what you feel comfortable in I guess. My idea of fashion is jeans and a red sox t shirt so...
Michael (foof) Maki · 19 years, 2 months ago
I think 8 looks the best of all of them, but 1 would be a somewhat more conservative choice.

Do you know anything about the company you're interviewing with? Because if they're conservative, I'd go with #1, but otherwise I'd go with #8. {edited to, you know, make sense}

What's up with all the #12s, people?! I think it's kind of the least professional of the bunch.
Andrea Krause Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
I don't know specifically...but it's generally corporate and akin to where I work now. But I can't really judge by where I work because we run the gamut in terms of dress code and none of what we wear day to day would I wear for an interview. :)
renita Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
this will probably not be a surprise, but I really like 1 and 8 too. however 12 is definately in the running i quite like it and i think that the little tail at the back would add a bit of sass.

the red dress is beautiful, but in that one i do get the sense that it's a bit big on you. plus i think it's lot for an interview unless you wear it with a lot of attitude. does that make sense?
Bruce Rose · 19 years, 2 months ago
I like 5, but not for the interview. Maybe for day one at the new job. :-)

2 and 8 are my votes for the interview. With the red, 8 is a bit more assertive and will (probably) make a more lasting impression. I'd go with 8 for the first interview and 2 for the second.
ChrisChin is Getting Old · 19 years, 2 months ago
I would say either #2 or #3, assuming the white shirt can go up another button. I think that either would work for an interview. The embrodiery is too much I think for an interview and makes you look much older, IMHO.
Andrea Krause Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Hehe no, the white doesn't go up another button. :) That's the top!
Misch · 19 years, 2 months ago
Burn #12, consider #9 or #10.
A girl named Becca · 19 years, 2 months ago
I vote 1/2, but I also like 8/9.
:)
nate... · 19 years, 2 months ago
But, I wouldn't do the shiny hose... well, in general. :)

But that's probably just me.

Either way, the bottom line is that holy CRAP you have a lot of nice outfits!

:D
renita Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
that's in the first post.

she will not be wearing shiny hose to the interview. she just didn't want to use her nice nylons for trying stuff on.

and yah, she really does :)
renita Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
chris' favourite is #12.

he's worked a lot in financial institutions, a banks investment depart and investor relations. his tastes tend to run a little conserative.

Mollie · 19 years, 2 months ago
Andrea,

I think the most important thing is for you to wear something that you feel comfortable and confident in. I think all of these outfits are beautiful, and I tend to prefer the long one-button jacket. You can start out with it buttoned and open it at some point for emphasis of a point, by the way. :) But I do think that more important than your appearance is how you feel and interact with the interviewers. It seems you're trying to get confidence through peoples' approval on your outfit, but I think you're great and I hope you can show them that.
nate... Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
ahhh.. see... clearly I'm late to the conversation.

*will shut up now*

Andrea Krause Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Yeah...it's more that...I'm on my own with the other stuff. I have to learn to sell myself and know what I'm talking about and just generally be excellent...but y'all can't help me with that. So I get to reach out for help in the aspect that I CAN get help on...and that's the clothes. :) It's like...I've got as much as I can of the concrete stuff all inside me and ready to go. Just need input on the packaging. :)
Andrea Krause Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Yeah they were a mistaken purchase...not only are they too spandexy and therefore shiny...they're "nude" but make me look like a weird pale thing. :) I have some perfect unshiny tan ones (that don't look tan...just natural...weirdness) to wear when it counts. :)
Andrea Krause · 19 years, 2 months ago
OK, I've decided on #8. I think it's the best mesh of looking right but also being something I feel comfy and like "me" in.

And omg interview is tomorrow. And I'm a-scairt.
renita Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
i like it :)

you'll do great :D
