And as long as their payroll stays on this side of Tampa Bay, they're never going to even get a sniff at .500. Just watch Zack Duke get picked up next year by a big market team; he's THAT good. (8-2 (With the PIRATES an 8-2 record!) with an ERA below 2).
The Pittsburgh Pirates: Giving their city nothing but losing seasons since 1991. Hence, I don't give a rat's ass about the WS.
Duke can't be a free agent for 5 more years. He'll stay with the Pirates till then.
The Bucs will trade him. Some big market league team will come a knocking and offer players TBNL and $$$ and the Bucs will take the $$$ and pocket it.
The ownership is serectly planning on selling the team anyway. They made a ton of money from the new stadium, low payroll (but still decent attendance) and the All-Star Game next season. The francise will be worth a ton, and they'll try to shop it around.
The Sox were realy strong this year, I don't think the Astros can beat them. Of course thats what a said about the Cardinals, and we all know how well they fared.

Can someone please tell me:
A. Who decided "God Bless America" should be played at the 7th inning stretch after 9/11? B. Why it is STILL being played at the 7th inning stretch? D. When will they STOP playing it at the 7th inning stretch and let us sing about crackerjacks without worrying about God blessing anything? Go Sox...
I don't know who made that decision but I'm not happy about it. In most parks they only sing it on Sundays and special occasions. The exception being the Yankees who still play it every game. The Mets tried to do that this year and stopped early in the season. I wrote and complained. I am guessing that other people did too. I had a Sunday plan for the Mets. I refuse to stand for God Bless America. They do play Take Me Out to the Ballgame too and I stand for that.

I noticed that the poll became skewed towards the Sox after they won the first game.
You know that in the end of days only the true believers in baseball will be saved. Some year, perhaps this, at the end of the world series all those at the games or watching on TV or listening on the radio will enter heaven leaving the unbelievers on the earth to face the tribulation aka as the Football season.
I'm a Millennial baseball fan My apologies to anyone I haven't offended.
There is a difference bettween watching and listening and being in the room while they are going on. Legalisms like this won't help come the Rapture, or the Seventh Inning Stretch.
