What kind of meat do you prefer?

OK, granted, I'm a Catholic and I know I can eat fish even on Fridays during Lent...but I was pretty sure the world in general considered it to be meat....how come it's not on the list? And, I could really be wrong on this one, but isn't duck poultry?
Fish is generally considered meat only by vegetarians. Even some vegetarians don't consider fish to be meat. As for duck, the flavor and texture of duck meat is very different from most other poultry, so it really does deserve its own category.
mmmm, Ostrich... with a rich burgundy wine sauce served with candied baby carrots and twice scalloped garlic potatoes... and creme brule for dessert...
Mmmmmmmmmmcremebrulee!!!!! Nectar of the gods...or something. *Drool.
I voted for duck but thought it strange that it was not considered under poultry. Duck is infinitely superior to chicken but chicken is way better than turkey. Why do mammals each get their own choice but not birds? It's bigotry I tell you.
I was a vegetarian for 11 years, and perhaps that is why I consider fish to be meat, however since it IS the flesh of an animal, that always made a whole lot of sense to me.
In any case... this is why I have voted "other". Fish is my favorite. Raw fish to be exact. Sushi sushi sushi is my favorite yummy flesh. Yum. M
That's a church rule not God's Law. ;)
You won't go to hell if you eat meat on friday. It's more of a sin if you waste it than eat it. :) Christine. --recovering catholic after 12 years of catholic school. :)

There are a few pescatarians in the world... I'm one of em... I think fish should've been on the list, but in lieu of that, I put that meat was icky....

I was left with people, since none of the other options really worked for a veggie who doesn't find meat icky either.
Of course, after watching the movie, I want to know what Soylent Blue and Soylent Red are made out of. "Soylent Blue is goldfish! Goldfish!" (or) Soylent Red is Spam!
I WISH I was still a veggie... so I was a veggie just because I liked the way I felt when eating non meat things. then I realized I was really sick. and now I need PROTIEN, and seeing as I's poor, I can't afford not to eat meat, but I prefer poultry or fish as apossed to a piece of cow... although I do find cow taste-alicious, it lands like a brick in my tummy.
oh yeah, and spam is grooOOooss!
well. I actually prefer moose to venison. but *shrug* it's the closest.
althoguh. i found this a VERy hard quiz. because I also LOVE duck. mmm bbqduck. and sometimes nothing beats a nice.mediumrare.steak. and lamb.... mmmm. rackoflamb. and rabbit... pork=BACON! and salt pork. what would I do without my phosphates??? so yah. um. I voted venison. but really I just like meat.
Heheh..... renita, you rock. :)
And, I have to agree, I found it VERY hard to choose.... normally I would say beef.... but venison just has really tickled my fancy as of late. Duck always used to be my fav........ and rabbit, while it's too much of a pain to deal with usually, if you make a nice hearty rabbit and venison stew with winter vegetables... and a demi-glace... there is very little better. :)
Actually, you have it backwards. The wild Soy-Beast is by far the most difficult creature on the planet to hunt. It takes years of secret training to learn its weak points. By the time we have caught our first Soy-Beast, normal hunting pales in comparison. We therefore abandon it, and leave the so-called "meat animals" to the less-skilled carnivores.

If I was told I could never eat a burger again or I could never have a delicious steak again, I would surely, and without hestitantion tell the bastards to kill me now.

I think pork tastes the best out of all the meats. it doesn't mean I *like* it best. I think meat tastes good, but I don't *like* eating it. I don't like the thought of consuming a dead animal, and there's *nothing* nastier than finding an artery or chunk of fat in a piece of meat. I'm somewhat picky, I guess...I just find that nasty. so I kinda prefer processed meat...hey, what I don't know can't hurt me ;)
Serious though. I'm iron deficient and have low blood pressure...I eat meat mainly because I'm too poor and lazy to come up with non-meat meals that give me enough protein. I was veggie for 2 years. I actually think soybeans taste *good*. stop laughing. ;)

Kosher meat is what I eat, that's beef 'n poultry too.
The Rabbis say that fish ain't meat...let's go ask Richard Hsu! (I need sleep!)
No no...I think the point is that, since bats aren't birds they shouldn't have to meet bird standards...they should have to meet mammal standards.
