Acts you want to see

Discussion: Acts you want to see

Here is a companion forum to the bands you missed thread. What musician or band that is actively touring that you have never seen is on the top of your must see list?

the very top ofmy list would be spirit of the west.

oddly timed to this topic, i have discovered three spirit of the west shows i'd love to go to. i will be vacationing during the time of two of them, and each of those two shows (at the kee in bala and at lee's palace) will be about half an hour away (in opposite directions) from where i will be staying. it seemed so perfect, but then i discovered that both of those shows are 19+, and alas i will only be 18 at that time. i am very much depressed about that, but i will still be able to go to the grand theatre show in london on august 4th, but that is significantly less convenient.

Elvis Costello.

[gloat] I'm seeing him at the end of July! :D [/gloat]

for me? U2 would be great, but price of concert + sheer volume of fans = impossibility. Same goes for Radiohead, though they're not actively touring at the moment, I don't think, but hopefully will again someday. Also, the Flaming Lips' shows look like a million kinds of fun, and I'd love to make it to one of those someday. And finally, Groovelily, whose concerts I seem cosmically fated to miss, as I've been trying to see them live for five years now and never seem to be able to match up same place, same time. arr.

Well..Groovelily apparently will be playing with Paul and Storm at FRFF this year, so you'll get to at least see them.

for real??! wow! how'd I miss that memo? well then. Perhaps the Flaming Lips will be backing up Tracy Grammer, and I can cross another off my list. :D

Absolutely number one would be STUART DAVIS

He's playing in Bethlehem for TWO NIGHTS this August and all my friends are going without me. Where will I be? Freakin Arizona, that's where. Oh it just breaks my heart. I've waited years for him to come to PA and now I'll be gone. Sigh . . .maybe I'll take a road trip to Colorado and see him there.

I'd also really like to see Vienna Teng, but that can wait I guess.

If I had to reply last year at this time I prolly would have written some kind of whingeing post...

But instead.
