I remember those... they were around before the internet, right?

How many times a year do you really use your phone book?

I actually do have phone books, but they're about three years old. For some reason, the phone company just never delivered new ones.
Not that it matters, since I can use switchboard and google to find pretty much anything and anyone now. (I, however, am nearly impossible to find, thankfully. :) of course, I rarely use the reference at all any more, anyway.
See, if I know the name of what I'm looking for (Bob's Robot Supply), it takes less time for me to grab the phone book and flip it to the "B"s than it does to dial, connect, and let google or an online phonebook load.
Plus, if I'm just looking for open hours or something, it's quicker to use the phone book and call than to go online, but that's more because of bad web design. That said, I still don't use the phone book all that often, and in the year we've been here, I think we've accumulated three or four.

I tend to keep one in the car for where I don't have internet and I hate calling for info...and one around home just for food type stuff. But it doesn't get used much.
i never use mine, either. that's what google is for.
But you can't use google as a booster seat.
Should I worry for myself that I almost posted the same thing?

I think I use it...maybe once a year? I don't have any need for phone numbers, really, because i don't make many calls. however, i did call Barnes & Noble a couple weeks ago, to see if they had a cd.

I used the Yellow pages today. I needed a jeweler to put a new battery in my mother's watch and all the ones I usually go to were on vacations. What's with them all going on vacation at the same time?
