besides the budgiedome, are there any other campsites that welcome guitar-wielding outsiders?
well, for instance, i'm pretty sure you have to be invited to play at the big orange tarp or tribes hill or camp hon.
Camp Hon? But yeah, you have to hae some sort of "in" to play those camps.
camp hon=the baltimore songwriters association camp. so i'm not sure if only members can play there, or what...
i never heard of these peeps. where are they located at frff? do they have a website?
when you drive up the hill, they're along the road, past happytown and flamingo ridge, but before you get to the burned out hippies and the gfp.
and the bsa has a site, but it hasn't been updated in ages.
I somehow love that I'm in a community where you can give directions like that. :)
burned out hippies and the gfp? the gfp has families, children, teenagers, etc. howver, we do have conehead, too. anyway - there is usually a song circle there every night, with some of our own "emerging artists," who are starting to get real gigs, and established performers like we're about 9, Friction Farm, Nick Annis, Annie Wenz, Cadence Carroll, Kellie Lin Knott and others. pros and amateurs mix in. unlike the dome, we rarely have a performer do awhole set, except perhaps on thursday afternoon when things are slow, like we did with the Kennedys last year. Anyone is welcome.
perhaps the burned out hippies and the gfp are two separate entities? Not sure, as I've never been that far up upper camp, something I should probably try to work on this year.
i was referring to two separate entities, thanks. the burned-out hippies are on the opposite side of the road from the gfp, and they have a surplus of vw vans, "WE MISS JERRY" signs, and radios blaring bad classic rock.
The Big Orange Tarp is the big one. Very formal and structured, though.
well, yes. that's what i said about two comments above yours. :)

We always welcome nomadic musicians to play in a round or two (or more) at are very dimly lit song circle. You can just stop by and hop right in. :)
well, I suppose he can have some slack for that. *grin*
um, yeah, it was 2:38AM and I was so exhausted that I didn't even notice. Though I feel even more tired now and I still have 3 more hours of work to go through. *sigh*
i definitely want to hit the camp dar song circle this year, especially since i wussed out last year.
