Appel Farm

Appel Farm has announced its schedule. It's a good one.
Particular favorites of mine are Madeleine Peyroux, Loudon Wainwright, and Stephen Kellogg.

I am looking forward to seeing Rufus and Aimee Mann for the first time.

John Gorka needs a mention too.

*checks schedule* John Gorka and Lucy Kaplansky are going to be on different stages at the same time?!? They can't do harmony for each other then! *cries*

I really enjoyed seeing Aimee Mann. She played a co-bill with Ben Folds awhile back (two Central Park Summerstages ago?)

I may have to consider going to this.

dwd, yeah, whoever put old john and lucy on different stages at the same time must never have seen them perform at a festival before.

Guh, that's like when they put Girlyman and DVN on at the same time at Philly Folk Fest...I was ubertorn.

Well, you know what will happen? During Lucy's set, Lucy will say, "Can I just step out for 5 minutes?" then rush to the other stage to sing with John Gorka. Gorka will return the favor later on in the set.

I saw Rufus Wainwright when he played with Guster and Ben Folds. He sounds like Thom Yorke of Radiohead, except 100 times for annoying. I hated him, and could not wait for his set to be over.

or, if you want another opinion...rufus is incredibly talented and an amazing musician. he needs a few diction lessons, that's all.
