hand motions?! why was i not informed?
-edit- (after i saw the last part of the post before mine) jian?!? why was i not informed?!? you guys know there are hand motions for Drinking Song too, right? right?!?! :D
you can't be serious....really? this is more of a cult than i thought...
and yet i'm still here. i hafta say, you guys, you're a very nice cult.
See? that's exactly what I mean...such a nice, kind, thoughtful, cult. all those other evil cults are giving you guys a bad name.
by the way---------- what hockey jersey? some kind of cult initiation? oh yeah, that comic reminded me that Pisco had some scattered hand movements too, but i think they were fan-invented and not band-invented. the shows were somewhat rocky-horror-ish, with random things you're supposed to yell or do at certain parts. most of them don't make a whole lot of sense. SPORTS! there are 2 jerseys. one sold by the band, and one made by one fan of the band and distributed to i believe 20 of his closest friends. they were, unfortunately, so large that they were more of a dress on many of the ladyfolk, but hey :P
i'm a pretty tall ladyfolk though...lol. that's cool.
*sigh* so much i have to learn about this cult....
What's with the funny looking smilies? and yes, i'm 5' 8".
Actually, 5' 7 3/4", but close enough.
my history teacher is like 6' 6" or something...and all serious and imposing and whatnot.
That had -not- occured to me. That may be the best idea ever!
*sniff* I never got a hockey jersey. All I have are a Budgiedog Fru-definition T and a Your New Boyfriend T.
most of my other tees are gone. i sent my 2 baby tees, "your new girlfriend" and "i *heart* canandian boys" to Donna and Emilie, respetively. i had the YWGTTM cover white T but it was stolen along with all my other tees. and the frucon 2 black tee. and the philly folkfest tee :( stupid box of tees getting stolen! i still have the heather-and-baby-blue baseball fitted tee and the maroon tank top tho o.O
...which I then gave to emilie!
(though I kept the budgiedog pin for myself).
wanna skank my MF baby tank top too? khaki/olive green, with the same logo as on fhdc printed on the chest in orange. it's one-size-fits-some-wot-aren't-middleaged. :D
yeah, and it went to 2 FRFFs hoping to go home with you, too, with no such luck.
at this point, whichever of you frums me their snailmail first gets it. assuming i can find it, that is. :D
item claimed by nitsa. we hope you have enjoyed participating in this auction! please do play again!
Geez I can no longer tell for sure who all those people are. That is scary! Help me fill in the list!
Left to right: 1. Phil Schwan???? 2. Chrissy 3. MC 4. Kath 5. Mary Krause 6. Sheryl 7. Um.... Doug Levy, or Doug Shepperd (How can it look like both of them???) 8. No clue... Nitsa? 9. Hugo 10. Katrin's husband, what was his name? 11. Katrin How wrong am I?
7. Um.... Doug Levy, or Doug Shepperd (How can it look like both of them???)
As far as I remember, it was Doug Sheppard and No. 8 is Drea.
i always was under the impression that was Doug Levy. I seem to recall discussion of "the two Dougs".
or that may just be another of my delusions.
i think i existed (i seem to have the impression that my first live show was sheryljean's also? maybe?), but not as frequent & besides i'm invisible.
yes! & you hated me. cause i screamed. you had a picture of me on your website & everything!
:)
i was mortified & embarrassed when i first found it, but now i just think it's funny. :)
these days, i try to only scream at concerts when there's enough noise going on anyhow, like trying to get an encore or something. but i don't know what it's like to stand next to me screaming, either. ;)
Chrissy? Drea? Tom and Katrin? MC?
Hugo?!?! Jesus, talk about a blast from the past.
Actually there are two answers to this question, because WAYYYYYYYYYYY back in the day (like 1998) it was common amongst EAST COAST fruheads to do the handjive to Johnny Saucep'n. This is something that Midwesterners mostly never ever did (except Chad). This behavior died out sometime after Frucon one, I believe. I guess once east and west finallly mixed, the the western fruheads came out victorious. Boo Yah! ;D
i don't know all your fancy computer tricks...i used to know some HTML tags...but now i don't. :(
that's the kind of smiley I do.

I TOTALLY mess up some of the words
what i sing is something like this, which is mostly right Basil endive parmesan shrimp live lobster hamster wurster munster caviar Ricky-o, snowpeas, scampi Roquefort bee-bop blue beef, red alert pork chops side flanks cantaloupe cheese steaks provolone flatbread goats head soup gruyere cheese engineered please and a veechees swaz and the cabbage and the crawfish claws You know, though, . . .whenever they sing "that strange and wonderful food" it really sounds like "that strange and warm nipple food"
basil endive parmesan shimp live
lobster hamster worcester muncster caviar radiccio snowpeas scampi roquefort meat squirt blue beef red alert pork hocks side flanks cantelope sheep shanks provolone flat bread goat's head soup grueyer cheese angel hair please and a vichyssoise a cabbage and the crawfish claws.
that's ok... during King of Spain in the "orchestra" part it always sounds like someone's saying "do me." LOL
hmm...i heard in the the live noise AND the bargainville ones...hehe
:O Wow...you can tell it's jian too...it comes out of my left earbud...its sorta high pitched kinda sorta maybe.
hahah, it always struck me more as "do me" on Bargainville and "blow me" on the indie tape. Brilliant.
you're right about bargainville. i've never heard the indie tape... :(
It sounds like "blow me" on live noise tho.

A few years ago, Marianne and I were working on the design of the FruCon5 shirts. If you go to the attached link you'll find one of our discarded designs:
http://www.millersquared.com/johnny.saucepn Since the design didn't exactly say "FruCon5" we rejected the idea. Eventually, we incorporated the design into a pizza box that would be used for mailing the shirts, but that aspect of the project became too expensive, so we had to abandon the idea. But since the topic of Johnny Saucepn' came up, I thought I would post the image. I'm sure that the literary minded among you will recognize who's image we used for Johnny.

If there's enough interest in the design. I could post an EPS (encapsulated postscript) on our website. Then FruHeads could download the image (which is infinitely scaleable) and print their own shirts using a printer/copier, transfer paper and a hot iron. Other options include Cafe Press (http://www.cafepress.com) and Kinko's. Of course, nothing beats "screen printing" - but that's going to COST. That's how we did the FruCon 1 through 5 shirts. There remains one issue. Those FruCon shirts were produced with the permission of the band. That could be an issue with this design.

Although we designed the "MF" logo, the band owns the copyright to the logo. That is because we gave them the logo and all the rights. We did this because the band was kind enough to allow us to print and distribute the FruCon shirts for five years.
If there were enough people who wanted screen printed shirts, we would ask the bands permission (out of respect), then take orders. Otherwise, posting an EPS file on our website (or on fruhead.com) for people to download doesn't seem like a big deal. Especially if nobody is making a penny off of the idea. The problem comes once the high-resolution EPS file is posted. At that point, the genie's out of the bottle and it could end up anywhere, on anything without any control by the designers (us) or the band. By the way, Marianne and I both want shirts too - screen printed or homemade. Any thoughts?
i have a screen, & access to a studio (i am in art school) but i'm just a beginner.... i see how to do it, but i can't guarantee i'd do it straight & not smudgey.
um, i don't know if that's your question, but the option of me printing out shirts is tentatively out there.

thanks guys. this thread has finally haunted my dreams.
last night i dreamt (that sooooooooooooomeboooooooooody loooooooooved me.......no hope, no..er, sorry.) that my mom was some sort of psycho nurse, and she kept stabbing me in the chest with a needle to draw..something, it wasnt blood (needles are my BIGGEST fear) and she kept saying "it's a new way to test for Johnny Saucep'n!" o.O and i said "MOM. LOOK at my SKIN. HOW could i have Johnny Saucep'n?" clearly, Johnny Saucep'n is a skin condition. You must first create an account to post.
