This is a story we used to read�around this time of�year�when I was a little kid, I'd moslty forgotten about it until my older brother posted it in his lj.
I loved the story then, and I still love it.

I like "The Gift of the Magi" because it shows that selflessness never pays off... unless you count irony ;)

I adore that story.
And it shows that selflessness pays off because it makes you realize how much more joy there is in giving than in receiving. :)
