What do you think are the best Fruvous songs? Not in terms of being favourites or being whimsical or having great sentemental value or being delightfully silly, what are the most finely crafted Fruvous songs? What can be categorized simply as a really good song?
No, me marry Nate first.
But thanks for the show of affection there.
independence day. gws. nuits. sahara. half as much and get in the car (i know people seem to be going for the serious, slow tempo stuff here, but these are both extremely well-crafted catchy pop songs.)
oh, and "bad jim."
Amen to that. In that vein of well-crafted catchy pop songs . .
Pis. Co. Lazy boy! Kick in the Ass And yes, I do like Indy as well. :)

yes definitely nuits de reve, as well as gulf war song and maybe horseshoes. my personal choices would include sahara (album version), boo time (album version), darlington darling, sad today, and more! (definitely not anything from thornhill... no offence)
Yes! What Sheryl said. Folks, don't be afraid to pick out the simple ones. A song doesn't have to be complex to be well crafted, fitting the definition of this forum. That being said, I think the non-WST Jian songs on Thornhill have some very well crafted hooks. I share an office with someone and it's always fun to see what she picks up on when I play music. She doesn't know songs or artists in particular, but BOY does she pick up on hooks. The Fruvous one she centers in on is IWHO. But I digress.Everyone pretty much took my choices anyway. Nuits de Reve is a DUH OF COURSE option. I'd opt for Down From Above too. The first time I heard that I was so proud of Mike because you could hear so much maturity in songwriting and his vocal growth from Bargainville to Wood.
i was actually planning on saying lee And love set fire, but i didnt want to say to many and i picked my other choices over those, but those are some of my favorite fruvous songs ever (ywgttm being my favorite album)

Oh seriously . . .anyone else get kinda annoyed with his voice on Bargainville? Just listening to Bargainville and seeing my first show back then... I thought he had issues... until I met him and found out he didn't. HEH. I wonder if he could imitate Cartman.
heheheheeeee!!!!!!!1one!
Absolutely, as could Jian. Or rather, Cartman could imitate *them* ::sings:: "Stuck my hands into my coat . . .Goddammit!"
*now getting aural image of Cartman singing* "when she taaaaalks... i tell her to GET IN THE KITCHEN AND MAKE ME SOME PIIIIIE!"
hehehehe!!!! i tell you, it is the only way to fix the song!
Well, maybe we could pitch that as contentfor Jian: The Eventual Second Six Songs, Hence Completing the Dozen. Ahem!!!
yeah seriously. when the hell is he gonna start recording again? oy.
i hope if he does, though, that they produce it differently. Although I like some of the album, I really really *really* could not recognize his voice. And that saddened me. I miss the gravelliness. You must first create an account to post.
