I'd rather had seen the Last Starfighter musical that opened a month or 2 ago...

This is the first I have heard of it, so I didn't like any of the options because I don't know enough to know if I would like to see it or if it is within my price range.

it's a musical version of monty python and the holy grail. starring tim curry, hank azaria, and david hyde pierce. if that doesn't immediately make you want to go by tickets, then no, it's probably not for you. :)

and sorry, none of the options worked for me, because it's playing right here in chicago, and i can afford tickets, but every performance sold out crazy fast. the only people we know who actually got tickets are going to be, like, sitting behind a pole.

see, the concept and the cast make me think "Oh my god, how could I possibly miss this?" but then there's just the whole fact that they did it at all that kind of bugs me. I mean, Holy Grail is classic - no, sacred. It would be like making a stage musical of The Princess Bride.

classic doesn't have to equal sacred.

sometimes adaptations rock.

The Producers for example. The film was perhaps the greatest comedy film ever. I haven't seen the musical but if it is half as good as its reputation it too is a classic.

i've heard from my boss and my mother that the musical is absoultely hilarious :P

I saw it in NYC the month it opened. It IS a classic. But how wierd is it that it was first a classic movie that was turned into a musical which they are now turning BACK into a movie...

Same thing with Hairspray.

I want to play Tracy.
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 20 years, 3 months ago
You know that when I saw Hairspray in previews I said you were born to play Tracy.

omg, want.

let me know if you're going to go see it, maybe we can get tix to the same night :)

Kris 'engaged' Bedient Back · 20 years, 3 months ago

OMG...I had not heard the cast. Can I have my vote back? IMUST see this!!!
Gordondon son of Ethelred · 20 years, 3 months ago
This actually came from an argument I had with a friend of mine. He thinks it will be as big as the Producers. I doubt that but I hope it will be a success.
Bender · 20 years, 3 months ago
If you ever get a chance, see Top Gun: The Musical.

It's fantastic.

I am going in Chicago TWICE. Once the day after Christmas with a group, someone bought group tix cause they went on sale before the normal ones... and closing day cause I promised a Pierce-stalker friend I'd take her. I ordered as SOON as the extension batch of tickets went on sale.
Carey, I'd suggest that you keep checking ticketb@st@rd because they sometimes release tickets at odd times... or try to get single seats.

... i sure would!
