Personally I like being appreciated in my personal life, but when it comes to work I get embarrassed easily if someone shows their appreciation to me. I turn very red, very easily :D

I feel extraordinarily appreciated at work. Not as much sometimes at home or by cartain friends.

well, when you buy friends in cartons, it's to be expected.

You obviously weren't in the hallway when my cat ran out of the apartment yesterday. She was definitely on parade, and I'm fairly certain there were some dust bunnies that spelled out "Goovie."

I like to be appreciated aurally for thing I have to do, like homework, house cleaning, etc.

I hate to be appreciated for things I volunteer for, like helping clean up after church events.

I think it has something to do with my motivation.
