David Suzuki said that in this article. It was so wonderful a quote that i thought i'd pose a challenge to y'all.
for 100 points, share with me the most amusing quote you've heard in recent history.
+10 points if it involves fish.
+15 points if John Kerry said it.
+25 points if it involves fish *and* John Kerry said it.
+50 points if it involves gremlin porn.
+100 points if it makes me want to run out and buy chocolate sauce.

my sister & i stayed up all night watching the whole neverwhere.
my favourite line: "violence is the last resort of the incompetent." ![]()
before that, my favourite quote had been "they all go if you hit them right," an adage joyce carol oates quoted in an essay about boxing.
...they're sorta related... ![]()
That is a slight misquote of Isaac Asimov from the Foundation Trilogy.
"Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent" was said originally by Salvor Hardin, first Mayor of the Foundation and became a popular saying in the Foundation. We used to say it all the time in intermediate school. ![]()
no, it was probably me quoting it wrong... but i assumed it came from somewhere else. thanks!
