The tricksy thing is deciding if I should run by "That I considered serious at the time" or "That I still consider serious in retrospect."

Luckily, either of these ways of looking at it put me in the same category - I'd only jump once if I cheated and included the rare odds and ends that weren't "serious" (at least not to me/by my way of thinking) to me at the time.

So, uhm, yeah. *nodnod*

I picked 1-3, but if my longest relationships have all been 4 months long, can they really be considered all that serious? I'm only had one relationship that I thought might actually be "the one" but sadly, it wasn't.

first guy. It'll be a year in November. ;)

It's hard for me to pin this down because what's "serious". There were many relationships in my teen years that were exclusive and somewhat long-lasting. I would have considered them serious. But looking back they seem less so. If you mean serious as in...prospect for marriage and/or lifetime committment, that shrinks it.

It's hard to define these things when you've never dated casually. :)

So...3 if it's the latter definition, 11 if it's the former.

3 by the former...

1 by the latter.

that's if you count on-line realationships, otherwise zippo.

I put one to three because of the nature of the word "serious," and no, I'm not going to say if it was 1, 2, or 3. Anyways, I define "serious" as "gee, I might actually be able to stand dating this person for longer than three months/a year/a lifetime...

wow. longer than a lifetime would be really something special

dating doesn't work for me. i end up playing all sorts of insecure little headgames with myself. so... i haven't "seriously dated" anybody.

however, there have been 2 people who i have loved enough/felt compatible enough with that i would move to a fishing village in coastal Spain with them and spend the rest of my days playing a lute and serenading them as they fried our dinner trout.
