dude. it's all about count chocula.

tho  Somepeople, and anyone else who's met my brother kevin, will tell you that he *is* the lucky charms leprechaun.
Chocolate Divine Diva Back · 20 years, 6 months ago
heheh, i like those since they're nice and simple. but i also like apple cinnamon cheerios too.
Rimbo Back · 20 years, 6 months ago

Oh, yeah. The Count is the coolest. I also appreciate the occasional Frankenberry or Boo Berry. In fact, Boo Berry used to be my favorite -- once it was very hard to come by, for some reason. A friend and I found a place four hours away that still stocked it, so we would make road trips to get some.

Strange. I don't really care for cereal anymore. I just get up in the morning, and can't find anything to eat for breakfast. I see cereal, and I say, "well, that's pretty boring." I'm more of a salty dude overall. Like, "salty" as in I like salty foods. I'm not a sailor.

Songbill · 20 years, 6 months ago
Alpha Bits were my fave... the soggier they got, the better.
Andrea Krause Back · 20 years, 6 months ago
Ew I can't do soggy cereal. I must eat it fast while it's still crunchy. I don't like soggy breads/grains of any sort really.
K. D. Lurker Back · 20 years, 6 months ago
Same here...I made the mistake of buying a sandwich from a vending machine once; the date was good, but the condensation had already made the bread soggy, ick. Never again!!
Songbill Back · 20 years, 6 months ago
I think soggy bread is nasty, but soggy cereal is great. I know, it doesn't make sense, but what can I do?

Then again, I like dipping things in coffee-- biscotti, scones, cookies.
Andrea Krause Back · 20 years, 6 months ago

Ew, nope...I can't take any of that. Or croutons in soup and what have you. I can put crackers in my soup but only if I eat them right away out of the soup, like I eat the cereal right away. It's a texture thing. I cannot stand mushy things in my mouth that aren't meant to be mushy. Mashed potatoes, yes. cookies, no.

nate... · 20 years, 6 months ago
lucky charms.... but... I don't eat cereal anymore, really... haven't since I was a kid.

Prinut · 20 years, 6 months ago

I was a Trix kid, but I did not support the abuse against the silly rabbit. I still try and eat each little fruit separately to see if thereis a difference in taste...but there isn't.

edited because I was changing tenses all over the place.

Runner-up: Berry Berry Kix.
jen · 20 years, 6 months ago
it's ALL about Cap'n crunch!
i could eat that stuff till my the top of my mouth shards away to hell!!

im addicted to sugar cereal, and still eat it regularly!

dirty life & times · 20 years, 6 months ago
.... not as far as cereal was concerned, anyhow. you want sugar, eat candy.

i prefer cornflakes to any cereal invented yet. & kelloggs raisin bran, where they coat the raisins with sugar, gets pretty sweet.(i still eat cereal daily when i can.)
Michael (foof) Maki · 20 years, 6 months ago
The taste was worth the damage to your palate.
Rimbo Back · 20 years, 6 months ago

Sometimes I wonder if my palate is scarred from eating so much Peanut Butter Cap'n.

I call it Cap'n for short. Because, you know, we're tight. Me and the Cap'n.

Mamalissa! Back · 20 years, 6 months ago
I hear the Cap'n's been hanging out with Tenille. That slut.
Shelly Back · 20 years, 6 months ago

*gasp* melissa!!!! are you saying he's been -cheating- on the crunch berry beast????

oh the humanity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Michael (foof) Maki Back · 20 years, 6 months ago
Wait a second... Cap'n Crunch and the Crunch Berry Beast were an item?!

Goodness. I never knew.

Perverts.
Rimbo Back · 20 years, 6 months ago

That's bestiality at its finest.

ellen · 20 years, 6 months ago
I had and still have a minor addiction to Honey Nut Cheerios. With or without milk. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

Which is why I don't keep 'emin the house. :D
Mamalissa! · 20 years, 6 months ago
I went with the Rice Krispies, but really I was a fan of any non-sugar cereal into which I could put mounds of sugar. I never liked anything frosted / frooty / chocolatey / marshmallowey for breakfast, but give me 3 tsps of sugar on an otherwise healthy cereal, and I'd be all set.

The only exception is Corn Pops, but since my parents didn't buy that it was strictly a vacation thing. And Life cereal, which I didn't start eating until college.

I still eat all my old faves - krispies, cheerios, corn flakes, kix, crispix, chex of any variety - but I've stopped doing the over the top sugar thing. Sometimes I'll add a glob of honey or maple syrup now though.
Bender · 20 years, 6 months ago
I was all about Golden Grahams and Banana Nut Crunch.

Hell.

I still am, except for the fact that plain milk makes me ill.
iPauley · 20 years, 6 months ago
I never got to have the sugary stuff... but I loved (and still love) both Raisin Bran and Cracklin' Oat Bran.

-- Pauley
It's a girl! Back · 20 years, 6 months ago

I was deprived of junky cereal too. I remember being all excited about eating froot loops for breakfast after a slumber party when I was 8 and being so crushed to find out that they sucked.

But I loved me some cracklin' oat bran though. Raisin Bran, not so much-- got too mushy.

And I liked honey nut cheerios too. Still do, though I think I like the apple cinnamon ones better. Now that I'm a grown up and can eat all the sugar I want, I'm all about peanut butter cap'n crunch. Regular's ok too. Crunch berry is vile.

I went on a Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Frosted Flakes kick for a while, but I tried them fairly recently and nearly gagged. They're both just waaaaaaay too sweet!

Kat Kunz · 20 years, 6 months ago
kid tested, mother approved. :D also good sans milk.
sheryls · 20 years, 6 months ago
omg, do they even sell boo berry?

IT IS TEH BESTEST.

seconded only by coco puffs.

and thirded by coooOOOOOOOOOOOOOoookie crisp! :D
ChrisChin is Getting Old Back · 20 years, 6 months ago
yay cookie crisp! (I think that was one of the choices that Josh "replaced." :). I loved it as a kid. Though I had it again a few years ago and it didn't taste as good as I remembered. I did remember the whole cop and burglar characters that were on the box.
Shelly Back · 20 years, 6 months ago

BOO BERRY usually makes its comeback around here near halloween, along with its friends franken berry and count chocula.

unless it's only in stores near MY house around then.....*shrug*

i *loved* boo berry{i actually remember when it was just franken and the count and then boo berry was introduced}.

Ok who else ate all the brown ones unil jus the marshmallow ones were left? I'm too mature for that now, of course ::looks shifty-eyed::
Kris 'engaged' Bedient Back · 20 years, 6 months ago
I used to do that. I'd sit in front of the tv saturday morning, split the cereal into two piles: crunchy oats and crunchy marshmallows. then I'd be good and eat the oatie ones before scarfing down all of the marshmallows.
renita Back · 20 years, 6 months ago
heh, and i would would the marshmallows and then the oaty bits.

the oaty bits were my favourite
Rachel Marie aka RAI · 20 years, 6 months ago
COCO. PUFFS. DOOD.

How do you NOT have Coco Puffs?!

Secondly, I say Cinnamon Toast Crunch. How could you look over the bestest cereals ever? I still eat them. ;o)
Doktor Pepski, kommie · 20 years, 6 months ago
I've been on a krispie treat making frenzy lately, don't know why. Made maybe three pans in the past week or so. But still tasty cereal none the less.:)
K-Lyn · 20 years, 6 months ago
...actually I just like quoting So I Married and Ax Murderer. Fruit Loops were my fave but my parents kept the kitched stocked only with the healthy stuff so I loved when I got to spend the night somewhere that had them. And of course Band Camp was all about the Fruit Loops.
Rimbo Back · 20 years, 6 months ago

"Yeah, sorry we didn't have all that other stuff . . . ."

Magical Bob · 20 years, 6 months ago
Crunchy Corn Bran, Rice Chex, Crispix, and Cheerios. My favorite cereals also happen to all be non-sugary. Anyone else remember that "Chex Quest" Doom-like computer game? I vaguely remember having fun with it...
Lux Fruthor · 20 years, 6 months ago
Can I get an "oh yeah" for the Cap'n?
danced with Lazlo · 20 years, 6 months ago
We didn't have sugary cereals in my family. I always loved cheerios. With or without milk, sometimes with a banana sliced on top. Ooh, Cheerios with banana slices is just the Bestest!
siobhan's a londoner · 20 years, 6 months ago

maple and pecan oat crunch.....
A "luxury" so sugary even I cannot handle it.

I stick to coco pops "I'd rather have a bowl of coco pops"

indeed

Nathan · 20 years, 6 months ago
I chose "I don't eat cereal," but that's not really true. It's just that I generally don't eat COLD cereals. I still do eat a lot of instant oatmeal.

I've sometimes wondered if I would like eating cold cereal, but I never did when I was a kid, and I still don't. Probably part of it is because I don't like milk. I guess I could try eating it without that, though.
Smatts' Baby's Pics! · 20 years, 6 months ago
QUISP!!!??With the little martian guy on the front of the box? It is my all time favorite second only to QUAKE which had mounty on the box. (I think!) Both were best eaten out of a tall plastic glass pretty much at any time of the day....the glass was so you could eat with a spoon or drink...both worked well. These cereals were great for "smacking"...my brother was the king of the annoying "smacking" noise when eating cereal. (OK...I hope someone else remembers one of these!)
Snarki_Fru Back · 20 years, 6 months ago

OMG, i was just about to say! No Quisp-Love???

I was so all about the Quisp... i often didn't bother with a container other than the box; much to my mother's chagrin... but since i was the only one in the house who ate it *smack smack*

Hi Susie!!!!!! *WAVES*

A.J. · 20 years, 6 months ago
...with Crunchberries. Still IS my favorite, although I try to limit myself to 1 or 2 boxes a year.
Smatts' Baby's Pics! · 20 years, 6 months ago
Oh yeah...right out of the box all the way! It was kinda like a breakfast food and a cunchy snack all in one! Hey check out www.quisp.com!!
