Crap, they're only playing with the Worms? IE, no solo sets? Bummer.
the musikfest website says they're still setting the schedule, so there may be other dates added. but yeah, no solo dates for fruladslisted yet.
wow. look at all the fun people: richard thompson, donna the buffalo, jonatha brooke, pete 'n' maura, steve forbert, slaid, snake oil medicine show, modern man, tanglefoot, lucinda williams, delbert mcclinton, jah works (coolest loyola alums EVER), los straitjackets, steve forbert, the crawdaddies, mama jama, the young dubliners....
and clay aiken, huey lewis and the news, and tony orlando. and a bunch of old polka guys. again. wow. :) and don't forget Enter The Haggis ;) it's enough to make me wish i had a pied-a-terre in the Lehigh Valley. The disadvantage, of course, is that many acts are individually ticketed, and that can get damned expensive in a hurry.
that sucks...i can definitely see how quickly it would add up for me. yipes.
I saw, it looks like I invited half the artists. I'm going to be spending a lot of time in bethlehem
Old John Gorka
Saffire the Uppity Blues Women EFO Etta James Alice Cooper Crosby, Stills and Nash (no relation) Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys Wolfstone Los Straightjackets
i mentioned los straitjackets. i think i initally typed "red elvises" because they're very much linked in my head for one reason or another. whatever.
OK I'm blind. I even doubled checked that since you've seen them and I haven't.
you might have looked before i made that edit. like i said, my brain always links those bands together, i guess because they're both weirdo guitar rock bands that i've only seen at fitzgerald's in berwyn, il. you would probably like both of them, especially los straitjackets, and *especially* when los straitjackets are playing with the world-famous pontani sisters.
That is probably it.
I love that they wear mexican wrestler masks. Maybe they were the guys on Angel
and they speak entirely in spanish during the shows, and they have great choreography.

Do you agree with me that the musikfest homepage is poorly designed. On the section called "
Performers" there should be an alphabetical list of performers with the venue given for each one. The way it is set up you have to look at each venue individually or search for someone you already know is playing.
I agree - I had to come back to see the announcement in this thread to figure out the venue.
i likewise agree. that info is available on the "tickets" page, but that only applies to acts that require tickets, not all of the artists at the festival.
I wouldn't think of looking at the "tickets page" to get the basic info. You'd figure you go there after you know who you want to see.

yeah, um, I was bored or something, and I compiled a list of all of the artists that will be performing, in alphabetical order with the venue, time, date and cost (if a seperate ticket needs to be purchased.) Go look here: http://krisbedient.tripod.com/musikfest.doc(most of the time, it is organized by first name instead of last)
I got this message when I tried to follow your link:
