This is VERY good news Zil.� It sounds like the owner of the company has heard your flight and wants to get to know you better, perhaps for a much better position.� Things may be looking up for you.
I agree that it's good news, but I doubt it's to offer you a better position.� If an employee has elected to resign, where's the advantage in trying to change their mind?� The person is obviously very upset about something in the company (more likely, several things.)� How many things would have to change in order to keep you?� In his terms, what would it cost to make those changes?� Increased pay?� Better working conditions?� More payroll?� At all of the locations? I agree that it's important to attend, but I think he'll be trying to learn about what the issues really are and how he can fix them.� This isn't about retaining the employee that wrote the letter... it's about keeping the ones that haven't written. Since I haven't quite made it to that position, I could be completely wrong.� He may offer to make the changes, he may offer promotion.� Keep your goals in mind.� Do what's best for you.
