I was sitting, sick as a friggin' dog, in acting class and my ADD mind wandered to birthday wishes. I realized that for at least 2/3 of my life, I've wished for a horse or pony when I blew out the candles on my birthday cake. Then for a few years I wished for familial peace. This year, seeing how that is clearly a lost cause, I wished for love. Somehow, defying all odds, it came true. So, what were/are your birthday wishes? Have they ever come true for you?
wow I'm glad it came true for you...I have been wishing for love or even for a boy to like me since I started liking boys...which is pretty much since I could walk....I don't just wish on birthday cakes either, stars, white horses, fountains, those wishy things that float in the air...you name it I have wished on it....poor unloved Desiree *sigh*

It's funny, when I gave up wishing for love I found it. You never know, it will happen when you least expect.

I wished for my dad to shut up about the Civil War, for my 10th b-day. Odd that, that stuck with me.

I'd like world peace. I'd like less stupid people. I'd like a bagel. I'd like a harem. I'd like to have someone to go out to dinner with tonight.
Okay, I got one of them. The bagel was tasty.
I've got a boyharem, but I don't get to use them nearly as much as I'd like. Heh.
I didn't even see that you wrote that when I made my b'day wishes.
I'd like less stupid people.
*fewer* stupid people.
Well, he could just want people to be less stupid, not necessarily reduce the quantity. *grin*

Both.
don't wish for world peace.
Mulder did and world peace equalled a planet that had one person on it, him.
;)
Or we'll all be zaped of our free will and fall in love with Jasmine.
Until some vampire comes along and messes everything up ;-)
At first, I thought you said, "The bagel was toasty." I need new glasses.
I wished for a harem and a bagel. Guess which one I got.
well, i *know* you have a harem. and i've never actually seen you with a bagel.
i wished for family peace once too. i sort of got it, in that we peaceably no longer interact with one another. :P
I don't have a harem, I have hos. what is the plural of ho?
Don't you dare call my hos fishgirls.
plural of ho = harem, AFAIC. we hang out together, we share tents, we dance and sing and play, we lead lives of artistry and literary interest and girly enthusiasms and regular caffeine consumption ... yeah. we're a harem.
AFAIC? As Far As I Care?
Or..?
sorry. as far as i'm concerned.
I've wished for true love the last year, every time I wish...I think it's silly, but at the same time I keep doing it...Who know's. Persistnce be thy friend?
I've wished for true love the last year Only the last year? ...why don't I believe you? hehe
Yeah, only this last year, constantly...I've wished for similar things in the past, but not the same exact thing. So HA! Don't got me kid...
who wouldn't wish for true love?
It's the one absolute in the world.
:)
true love is the greatest thing in the world - except for a nice MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is lean and the tomato is ripe...
