so. while we're on the subject of jobs and stuff, do you get any perks from your job? y'know, like freebies or discounts or whatever. for example, i workfor a hotel reservations agency and i just got free hotel accommodation in glasgow for next week. (go me! hee.) so. fire away. :)
Uhhh...cheaper-than-many-but-still-expensive insurance? (I work for an insurance company.)
along the same lines, i get very decent benefits (i work at a benefits outsourcing/consulting/delivery/thingy place). oh, and free food. yum.
when i worked at the coffeehouse, i got free meals and drinks, which rocked the casbah. and when i worked at waldenbooks, i got a discount, which was the only way i was able to afford any christmas presents for people that year.

Owning my own business and working from home is chock full o' perks! A 5 second commute, pajamas for half the day, guitar breaks, cat cuddles, lack of bosses droning about TPS reports.. I could go on. :)
Not that it's all easy, but I hope I never have to rejoin the "real world"..
Cost on cds, free playcopies, the odd musician instore where I get to hang out with people cooler than me - it's got a few. :)

Mostly along on the benefits side...I don't pay any premiums for health insurance, 15 vacation days, 5 personal days, and 15 sick days, 403 (b) plan that becomes fully vested after 3 years, very flexible comp-time policy, and transportation benefit. Some perksare free use of the fitness center and pool downstairs, which I have yet to take advantage, and various discounts at neighborhood restaurants and stores.

When I worked at the community center, I could take classes and use the fitness center for free. Now, I guess the biggest perk is that I get free NJ Jets parephenalia. I guess if I liked football it'd be much more exciting.

the only perks i get are the rights to be called at any time of the day or night 24/7 and to have my rates (consultant) cut 3 times in 18 months.

10% off storewide at Target (excluding perishables at the Supers), 20 % off storewide at Marshall Field's. There's a few restrictions on their use, but it's generally useful. If nothing else, it takes care of the sales tax. The benefits package is nice, but the perks... nah. You must first create an account to post.
