No stories like that, but one of the shops in town opened as Cappucino's, then closed for lack of interest, re-opened as a cigar bar & coffee shop (under a different name that I can't remember), closed again in under three months, and is now open as a bad pizza joint.
The Daily Grind closed for a short time, then reopened as Roscoe's (named after the adjoining CD shop). Everything's the same, except that the coffee sucks now.
Soma is godly and attatched to an equally godly CD shop (TD's CD's and LP's) and a rather nice "mall" (really a collection of shops in an old house) with the Laughing Planet (a fantastic burrito shop). If you ever get to Bloomington, I'll show you. Even if we both have to make a special trip for it.
