Are you afraid of commitment?

I used to think I had issues with commitment. But to my surprise I found that it changed. I think a lot of commitment fears fade when the person you're with is the person right for you to commit to. Ya know? This girl who thought she'd never get married or want kids now sees these in the future because of the person that future is linked to.

...just don't think its necessary or appropriate in many situations in which others do.

i say "sometimes" because sometimes i'm afraid to commit myself to something i'm not 100% sure of. i suppose more than commitment issues i have trust issues - i have problems trusting people to that extent. i'll commit to anything that i think i can see through. otherwise, i hate to give a yes/no answer on anything. i'm so wishy-washy. bleh.

this question was too hard, I couldn't commit to just one answer.

Getting Committed isn't so bad. They give you a nice white jacket...a little long in the sleeves, though.

Hey I didn't get a white jacket! I'm mad! I want my white jacket! I was robbed!

hmm. i suppose now that i think about it, i -am- terrified of the idea. although i'm beginning to think that everyone i know already knew that and i'm just a bit behind the ball on the memo... -= george =-

On a side note this reminds me of Carla U's hilarious song "I have to kill you now" covering the deplorable situation of committing to someone too early. I could speculate I have to kill you now
I could never figure out the way the ties on it worked, I prefer a cardigan.

My housemates think I am "like a man" because I often run from relationships in which I have strong feelings for the other eprson or in which they have strong felings for me and therefore could lead to commitment and so come up with bad excuses (he had a side parting that made him look like an owl, we did not speak the same language, he wore a denim suit at all times!) to break up with them when the reality is I'm just scared. I just think I'm not ready and that i will be when I meet the right person. They don't all get this b8ut then one of them is a serial monogamist... I'd rather be happy then in an unhappy relationship just to prove I am not scared of commitment to people who though they matter do not necessarily have the most important of opinions.
