k, i'll totally reply to the provinces question later, very interesting. and thank you for adding the snotty canadian option ;)
yeah, 100 km/h is standard on most canadian highways. some, like the coquilhalla (beautiful highway if you're ever in southern bc, literally straight over the rockies) are 110 km/h, but the gross majority (i.e. the #1 trans-canada) is 100 km/h. as far as i know at least. i've never highway-driven east of alberta.
I know that's the posted speed, but do they honestly expect people to follow it? I can understand it for populated areas, but the superhighway we took from Windsor to Toronto was painfully slow! I suffered it because I didn't want to risk an international citation, but... it was really nice to match speeds with people as we got closer to the city.
where would i live? overall bc. i love bc, the ocean, the rockies, the central interior with it's many many many trees. it's so very rugged in bc. ontario would be nice too. southern ontario is pretty country. i'd love to live in montreal for a year or two, i think quebec could be rad for a bit.
where not to live? i wouldn't live in any of the territories, although the government does compensate you financially for living in such a low-population area, i wouldn't live in maritimes, the economic situation is always so damn bleak.
where to live: bc, ontario, quebec
where not to live: territories, maritimes
