oh, sorry.  he's such a star in my little world that i forget that others don't know who he is.  he used to be in rockapella (the guy with the braids); set off on his own in the late 90's and has been pursuing a solo career ever since.  sound clips are on his website: www.seanaltman.com.  definitely worth a look-see.  his voice is sublime, and his lyrics are funny and fantastic. 

And he gives out free candy at his shows!
