FHDC isn't letting me post to the poll thread so I'm trying it here instead!

Well if I were a Canadian, I'd be happier about giveing money to the government. At least then they wouldn't be blowing my money so wontonly in order to achieve the dubious goals of killing 250,000 innocent Iraqis, ruining the environment, and spying on the US population.

I like big government, but only an ethical and responsive big government.

Ethical and big government are mutually exclusive.

I know it is pointless with you Andy, but I'll say it once more: IN YOUR OPINION. In my opinion government size and ethicality are not related.

Then name one big government that is ethical.

Can you name one person on this entire planet who is ethical?

People (and groups of them) can do things that go towards one end of the scale or another, but I don't think that anyone can be all good, all the time. But that doesn't mean they are not good as a whole.

Acting ethically doesn't require being good all the time. I agree with you that noone is perfect and people will make mistakes. Being ethical is about knowing right from wrong and when you do wrong, owning up to the mistake and bearing the consequences (if any).

In that vein, I know alot of people who are like that.

I agree, I would be very willing to give more money if it were going to something that wasn't a part of a glorified mass murder.
