New Feature: Diary Reader |
Posted by: Josh Woodward on Mon, Apr 7, 2003 FHDC now has a diary reader that can read Diaryland, LiveJournal, and any other RSS news source. Click for more info. The FHDC diary reader aggregates updates from different diary and news sources and prints the updates on the main page. This is the first software I know of which is able to do this (since neither Diaryland nor LiveJournal offers RSS feeds). It works for most diaries, except heavily customized Diaryland tempates which override the date formatting on the older.html page. If you come across a diary that doesn't work, just ping me and I'll add the capability to scrape it.
As always, this is beta software and please let me know if you have any ideas or bugs to report. Thanks!

This is incredibly cool. I haven't even tried it yet, but damn. You rock the house.

It loks like LiveJournal has added RSS feeds.
showing here. You can get your own journal in an RSS feed by adding /rss to the end of it. Of course, you'd rather see your friends journal, and that requires a paid account to grab. Se the link above. You must first create an account to post.
