Diary Trackback |
Posted by: Josh Woodward on Thu, Oct 3, 2002 I've implemented a MovableType-comliant trackback to diaries. Click for more information. Trackback is a way to reference another diary post from your own. When you do this, the other diary will show up with link to your post in their diary, and vice versa. See this explanation for more basic information. In Entropy diaries, I have added trackback links to the templating system in the default weblog format. To add it to your own, %%trackback_url%% expands to the page listing the trackbacks, and %%trackback_num%% expands to the number of trackbacks incoming to this particular entry. To link to someone else's, go to the trackback link from their blog template and copy/paste the URL into the field when you add a diary entry. This all sounds very complicated, but it's easy once you do it a couple times.
