(Mar 5, 2003 @ 1:52pm) «hkath» what is it? (Mar 5, 2003 @ 1:54pm) «hkath» (the morse code) (Mar 5, 2003 @ 1:54pm) «soul groove feline» it says "natertots" (Mar 5, 2003 @ 1:55pm) «soul groove feline» pauley translated it last night :) (Mar 5, 2003 @ 1:55pm) «John J. Ryan» oO Hello darkness my old friend, I've come to talk to you again... Oo (Mar 5, 2003 @ 1:57pm) «hkath» " " (Mar 5, 2003 @ 1:57pm) «nate...» gordon: don't like code? (Mar 5, 2003 @ 1:58pm) «lawrence» there are websites that'll translate morse code for you. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 1:58pm) «John J. Ryan» There's a Rush song that starts out with Morse Code, except it's playing on distortion guitar. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:00pm) «lawrence» there's a Great Big Sea song that starts out with morse code, too. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:01pm) «John J. Ryan» -.-- -.-- --.. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:01pm) «hkath» yeah, it spells out YYZ (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:01pm) «John J. Ryan» Yeah I know. ... --- ... (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:01pm) «lawrence» yup. SOS. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:01pm) «John J. Ryan» And what is YYZ Kath? (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:01pm) «lawrence» intro to Ordinary Day. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:01pm) «hkath» YYZ is the code for the Toronto airport. That's what's in the Rush song. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:02pm) «soul groove feline» that song scares the hell out of my housemates every time I play it. they think it's the fire alarm going off. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:02pm) «hkath» what does the intro to Ordinary Day spell? (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:03pm) «lawrence» Kath - SOS. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:03pm) «lawrence» ah, but YYZ in backwards morse code is apparently QQ. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:03pm) «John J. Ryan» I always thought it was a cool thing to name a song after an airport code. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:03pm) «hkath» oh, right. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:04pm) «John J. Ryan» You like the band Rush Stacey? (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:04pm) «lawrence» hmmmm. morse code would be a great way to swear in polite company. :) (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:05pm) «lawrence» ..-. -. --- .-. -..! (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:05pm) «soul groove feline» Rush is pretty good, but I was talking about the intro to the GBS song that scares my roommates (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:06pm) «lawrence» nono, you mean "son of a -... .. - -.-. ...." (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:06pm) «lawrence» that's much more polite. :) (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:06pm) «John J. Ryan» I thought it was best so say #$@%! (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:06pm) «soul groove feline» mmm. dark chocolate. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:10pm) «soul groove feline» hrm. is registering a domain name under "private listing" really private? (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:17pm) «soul groove feline» I read all the fine print and such....but i'm still suspicious. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:18pm) «hkath» Kath doesn't know (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:21pm) «hkath» I've never registered a domain, as I have no money. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:21pm) «Jason Reiser» well worth a quick read - just unreal... http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/Northeast/03/04/iraq.usa.shirt.reut/index.html (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:25pm) «soul groove feline» yeah, I'm planning on registering at godaddy.com too... (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:25pm) «soul groove feline» what does "joe jobbed" mean? (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:26pm) «soul groove feline» and can listing privately prevent it? (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:26pm) «Jason Reiser» godaddy is evil (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:26pm) «soul groove feline» why is godaddy evil? (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:27pm) «lawrence» the sad thing about that item is that he probably has no case - they asked him to leave, and he didn't. it doesn't matter that their reason for asking him to leave was completely stupid. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:27pm) «Jason Reiser» isn't that unreal?? I've ben to crossgates several times during College... scary that they forgot that it's NOT okay to discriminate because someone wandered in from nearby woodstock. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:27pm) «hkath» Jason - that's not just unreal, it's frightening! (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:28pm) «Jason Reiser» okay, they're not really evil... I like the *concept* they put together of not showing information in the public WHOIS database, but it breaks RFC and makes domains difficult (nearly impossible) to transfer to another registrar. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:28pm) «Jason Reiser» they're cheap though if that's good. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:28pm) «Mamalissa!» it's the fact that he purchased it *in* the mall that I think is scary. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:29pm) «Jason Reiser» well there probably is more to it - I suspect that he heard that some other residents were asked to leave the mall for similar peace-lovin' clothing, and they left... so he purposely pushed the issue to force them to arrest him. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:29pm) «lawrence» yeah, I feel like the CNN article isn't telling us everything. it's weird that they'd target someone just for wearing the t-shirt. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:29pm) «soul groove feline» yeah, my main reason for going with godaddy is that i need something really cheap. but...do you know if they will disclose your personal information? (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:30pm) «lawrence» not if you put in fake info. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:30pm) «hkath» that's what's wrong with America. They strut around all the time talking about how cool it is that they have freedom, and then stuff like this happens. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:31pm) «soul groove feline» but how will you pay for the domain if you put in fake info? (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:31pm) «lawrence» you put in real info to pay for it, then as soon as the transaction goes through, change it. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:31pm) «soul groove feline» wormy. feh. has never bought anything online before. i don't know this stuff. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:31pm) «Jason Reiser» personally I recommend against using a fake name unless you really must remain anonymous because it becomes very easy for you to lose control of the domain. (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:31pm) «soul groove feline» oh? you can change it? (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:32pm) «lawrence» Jason - how? (Mar 5, 2003 @ 2:32pm) « Previous 100 entries | Next 100 entries »
