«nate...» true... but that doesn't help my situation much. *hugs* (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:32pm)

«jaye» yay! human! hang on, i'll check (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:35pm)
«jaye» 8. i was going to get an advance ticket, but it was a buck and a half more than getting it at the door (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:35pm)
«nate...» my digital camera should be arriving today!!! yayayayay! (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:36pm)
«nate...» go amazon... getting something ordered on 12/7 delivered by 1/30/02... hey, that's only, like, two months. :P (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:37pm)
«jaye» that's weird. i usually get my amazon stuff a week earlier than they tell me (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:37pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» oooh this is cool (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:37pm)
«jaye» dammit. carbon leaf is off of the tractor schedule *pout* (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:38pm)
«John J. Ryan» They just announced a TMBG in Princeton, NJ on May 24th, a Saturday! (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:38pm)
«John J. Ryan» It's two shows, a kids' show at 5 and a regular show at 8. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:38pm)
«nate...» it's hit or miss with them, they either ship it right away or, like, never ship it (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:38pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» hey nate, did you see this one? (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:42pm)
«Mollie» Paul...my friend has those tones at the beginning of his outgoing message, and every time I hear them it feels like my eardrum is bleeding. Maybe if he'd recorded them a bit quieter? (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:43pm)
«nate...» paul: yeah... that one was great. :) (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:44pm)
«nate...» I don't understand why people still use land lines. just get a cell phone and stop worrying about telemarketers! (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:45pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» he must have them cranking then, or maybe you have sensitive ears.. i've heard them before too and it just sounds like a couple of tones to me (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:45pm)
«nate...» I haven't had a land line in over a year. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:45pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» our apartment is too big to only have one phone that half the time i can't find within 15 seconds :) (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:46pm)
«Doug Sheppard» People still use land lines because some of us live in concrete buildings with absolutely no reception. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:46pm)
«Doug Sheppard» [/goddamn rogers] (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:46pm)
«jaye» i don't understand why people have problems with telemarketers. when you're on dial-up 6 hours a day, no one can get through in the first place ;P (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:47pm)
«ellen» yeaaah. agree with you, doug. can't barely get reception... :P (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:48pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» plus i occasionally use my modem to fax something and i also don't really want a lot of calls on my cell phone. i'd have to get a second one just for home yse (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:48pm)
«nate...» nate - soupbiscuit laughs (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:48pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» use (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:48pm)
«nate...» ahh.. I guess around here there's nowhere I don't get reception.. so there's no reason to have a land line. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:48pm)
«nate...» western MA is great that way. :) (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:49pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» yeah, for some reason i can get perfect reception in every room of my apartment except our bedroom. I suppose it could have something to do with 4 computers with CRTs that are almost always on (can you say cancer?) :0 (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:49pm)
«nate...» I dunno, I have 4 on in my bedroom too.... :) (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:50pm)
«nate...» sounds like a wind tunnel in there. :D (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:50pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» hehe (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:51pm)
«nate...» esp considering my bedroom is about 1/4 the size of yours.. hehe (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:51pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» i also need a new phone. my current one has a broken antenna, and sprint doesn't carry replacements. Not worth getting the phone serviced or paying a $20 + shipping for an aftermarket antenna (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:52pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» (the reception in here sucked before the antenna was damaged though. so it isn't that) (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:52pm)
«nate...» *nods* (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:52pm)
«nate...» yeah, sprint is pretty spotty reception... (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:53pm)
«nate...» dear lord.... it's only been 30 minutes??? (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:54pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» actually once i get outside of my apartment, there has been no place that i have that trouble (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:54pm)
«nate...» *sobs* (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:54pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» except for vermont, which as i said i don't travel to unless i'm on my way to Nitsa's :) (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:54pm)
«nate...» hehe. yeah, they've improved quite a bit... but my friends with sprint still don't get coverage in a lot of places downtown... like the 'horse... and teapot. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:55pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» Really? i have no trouble at the iron horse.. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:55pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» and i wouldn't eat at the teapot :) (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:55pm)
«nate...» no like sushi? (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:56pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» no like teapot (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:56pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» I usually go to ichiban or T&T (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:56pm)
«nate...» but that and ichiban are the best sushi around here, from what I'm told... (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:56pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» ichiban is fantastic. i still go there even after someone there stole my credit card number :) (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:57pm)
«nate...» I've been told T&T is assy... (I don't eat sushi, tho.. so I dunno... fish allergy..) (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:57pm)
«nate...» and teapot makes really good general tao's chicken. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:58pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» hmmi like T&T. And their Chinese food is about 10,000,000 times better than teapot. at least the time *I* went to teapot, it was among the worst i'd ever had (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:58pm)
«nate...» err... "tso's" (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:58pm)
«Doug Sheppard» Stop making me hungry, you food-talking monsters. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:58pm)
«nate...» really? I'd say it's one of the better chinese places I've eaten at in the area... though most people go just for the sushi. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:59pm)
«Doug Sheppard» Especially since I have a $5 off coupon for an Italian place downtown. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:59pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» I used my credit card for an order at ichiban and whoever took my order copied it down and then tried to make long distance phone calls with it (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:59pm)
«nate...» really??? did you catch them? (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:59pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» the joke was on them though, because they had written it down wrong. someone else had to call me back from ichiban to verify the number because it wouldn't take (Jan 30, 2003 @ 2:59pm)
«nate...» heh (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:00pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» but of course the person who stole it never found out :) and my credit card company noticed that i tried to make long distance calls to japan three times, each time entering the wrong expiration date (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:00pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» so they put a hold on my card and called me. it was easy to figure out what happened once they said that (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:00pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» since i knew that they had the wrong expiration date at ichiban :) (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:01pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» apparently the name for this practice is "skimming". My credit card company was investigating it and thankful that i gave them a lead, don't know what happened after that though (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:02pm)
«Michael (foof) Maki» hmmm...I've never heard of that before... (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:03pm)
«lawrence» yeah, that happened to me once, I think on a phone order, too. Discover called me when someone tried to use the card to wire a large amount of money at Western Union... (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:04pm)
«sheryls» hee. ichiban means "number one" and it's on alot of products. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:05pm)
«Mollie» wow, close call. (so to speak) it's good how it turned out. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:05pm)
«sheryls» sapporo ichiban, etc. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:05pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» yeah no kidding... i don't even want to know how much credit card calls to japan cost (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:05pm)
«Doug Sheppard» All products are Number One, in their own mind. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:05pm)
«lawrence» it's amazing, though, what credit card companies keep track of regarding your purchasing habits and patterns - they can tell if someone else uses your card. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:05pm)
«sheryls» yeah, one time my credit card called me because i went on a shopping spree in michigan. (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:06pm)
«lawrence» (of course, sometimes they mess up - Discover called me the instant I bought OS 10.2 at the Apple store) (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:06pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» i did discover one pattern with citibank. If i use my credit card to put gas in my car and then make any kind of purchase over $100, they put a freeze on my card. it's happened to me several times. i've learned to put gas in my car AFTER i spend money (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:06pm)
«Paul D. Beasi» :) (Jan 30, 2003 @ 3:06pm)
