Poll: How many FruCons have you been to?

I'm sad I missed the first historic one. I was a fan at the time, but was a newbie...I'd only discovered them 3 months before. I wasn't yet sucked in enough to travel. :) I probably would have felt severely out of place and out of the loop even if I'd gone. It was a long time...probably when this site came about...before I really began to stop being an outsider.

I'm glad I made it to all the others though. They've been very different, each one. Plusses and minuses each time around. Wonder if we've seen our last?

I still always feel like an outsider, at least in person, which is one of the reasons I've never made it to any Frucons. *dramatic sigh* :P

OK, even I know that's not completely true. This is why people shouldn't listen to me. :)

I think one of the things that draws fruheads together is that we *all* feel like outsiders. I mean, we dig a band that very seldom gets radio play, and almost no one has heard of.

Not only that, but of the bands most of us listen to, Fr�vous is probably one of the most well known ;)

I HOPE we haven't seen our last! FruCon is quite possibly even funner than FRFF. coz it involved cupcakes. mmmm. and Jian and Lesters. more mmmm.

It will go on forever!! For E-VER! Besides, I need to get my brother and some other friends to go. And talk about the open mike! I've got a couple of more constipated songs needing to get out...um...that..uh....didn't sound quite right. Oh, well. Carry on!

I dunno.. somehow, I doubt we've seen our last..... If nothing else, it's a great time to see people you love.. and get to spend time in toronto, which is just a kickass city! :)

Andrea, I went to the first one and I felt completely out of place. :\ No one was there welcoming my friend and myself with "open arms" like they claim for newbies. I'll bet no one even remembers I was there.

I went, took pictures, had a great time at the show and then the next day I went to the video shoot of BNL's "Brian Wilson" video which was much more fun than FCI! And I still didn't know the people at the video shoot. :D

Allow me to clarify, however. I'm not a fan of the actual convention thingie... that's always far to "rabid-fan-like" for me....I just like spending the weekend in Toronto and going out on the town with fun people. :)

But FRFF has the mushroom lady! I can get awesome cupcakes just down the street, but those mushrooms are the source of dreams all winter long!
