Yeah, Birdhouse basically ran the table in this song tournament.  Next week, we'll have a song tournament featuring the band that got the 2nd most votes, THE BEATLES!!!

The Beatles have so many songs that I suggest you change the format. Perhaps it shouldn't be done by album. There are a lot more great songs on Rubber Soul or Sgt Pepper than on Yellow Submarine. It would also avoid the problem of having to choose the British or American albums for the early ones.

How about groups of ten, each from a different album, with two passing on to the next round until it is down to 16 songs?

I chose the British Albums because that is what they released on CD.  The only difference is that I've taken duplicates out of the Past Masters collection, and added the Yellow Submarine songs to one of those polls.

The problem with choosing groups of 10 is that the only way to do it fairly is to choose the songs at random, and that could make the polls top heavy.  The only way to do this fairly is by album.  I have a Wild Card poll for songs that end up coming oh so close during the prelims.

I will have 3 polls a week instead of 2 to speed things up during the prelims this time.

Agreed, but only by a nose. And I know I'm weird, so I'm not all that surprised that Birdhouse is winning.

I'm not surprised, because this isn't a TMBG site. I think Birdhouse is the top rated song on tmbw.net, too, but here, it's even less surprising, because I think more people know it. Still, Ana Ng got my vote.
