Here who is confirmed for FRFF 2008.
The Strangelings, John Gorka, Clayfoot Strutters, Vance Gilbert, Lowen & Navarro, and Gandalf Murphy & the Slambovian Circus of Dreams
I hope some new acts are booked. I'm of course delighted over the Strangelings coming back. They are now my favorite band and the only one that I really travel for.
This is just who is confirmed so far. I'll bet credits to navy beans that EFO will be there.
By the way the confirmed Budgiedome performers are We're About 9, Anthony Da Costa, and Red Molly. That is just about as obvious as EFO playing the main festival. There will be new people. I just don't know who yet.

Crooked Still has been booked! That made me very happy.

It is now official Red Molly is playing FRFF. Well they already were booked for the The Budgiedome but now they will also being playing one of the auxiliary stages, the one they call the Main Stage.
They seriously need to move the Vance Gilbert performance workshop from the family tent to the workshop tent. It's ALWAYS overcrowded!

Here is the list of the performers confirmed for FRFF 2008. Bold the ones you excited about, italicize the ones you've see, underline the ones you haven't seen but want to.
Anthony Da Costa Bill Evans & Soulgrass Chris Smither The Clayfoot Strutters Crooked Still Eddie From Ohio Eileen Ivers Gandalf Murphy & the Slambovian Circus of Dreams. Janis Ian Joe Crookston John Gorka Lindsay Mac Lowen & Navarro Patty Larkin Railroad Earth Randall Williams Red Molly The Strangelings Terrance Simien & The Zydeco Experience The Nields Tracy Grammer Vance Gilbert
I'm assuming when you talk about the acts you've seen, you mean OUTSIDE of Falcon Ridge at their own shows.
Anthony Da Costa
Bill Evans & Soulgrass Chris Smither The Clayfoot Strutters Crooked Still Eddie From Ohio Eileen Ivers Gandalf Murphy & the Slambovian Circus of Dreams. Janis Ian Joe Crookston John Gorka Lindsay Mac Lowen & Navarro Patty Larkin Railroad Earth Randall Williams Red Molly The Strangelings Terrance Simien & The Zydeco Experience Tracy Grammer Vance Gilbert There was no "wish they'd never show up again" option, so I had to just leave the Nields off my list. :D
I thought of a negative option but decided to be nice.
Dar Williams is also confirmed for Saturday.
He's doing a house concert tomorrow. I can't go of course because it is the first night of Pesach. he hasn't played near NYC since he played in my living room.
FRFF is catching up to the Budgiedome, David Massengill and Jack Hardy played there last year.
Martin Sexton is playing. That means Toby will be there! I have never heard of Mortal Beasts and Deities but I'm intrigued. Most importantly I'm not sure if I can go to FRFF in good conscience. Did you notice who is missing from this list? Who has been replaced by his arch rival, Roger the Jester? There is no HOOPOE THE CLOWN!!!!!! I'm devastated.
according to google, mortal beasts and deities are the costumed characters--the doves, the other birds, the weirdo monk dude with the sousaphone. it's nice that they're getting billed this year, considering that they're always around.
Those are costumes? I'm so disappointed. I just thought they were birds and monks that liked folk music.
I have pleasantly surprised by the lineup. While there is nobody new that blows me away it isn't just a collection of the usual suspects which is what I expected for the 20th Anniversary.
Is that prediction based on your psychic skills or your literacy skills?
This confirms my misery of having to miss Sunday. Railroad Earth and Eileen Ivers have escaped me.
I wonder how much it will cost to delay my flight another day?
It doesn't hurt to find out.
Eileen often comes down to WFUV when I'm volunteering and she and her husband are the nicest people.

Anne tried to get Fruvous to play this year. They said "no."
