Satellite Hotstove Mike’s new disc is here! Recorded last month with Dave Matheson’s awesome help (not to mention Murray Foster on Bass, Mark Mariash on Drums, Jesse Hull on Fiddle), Satellite Hotstove is an 8-song follow-up to stars shone on toronto (note: the sequel to Canada Needs You volume one will arrive late ’07). It features a few songs from the Laker Music Project, a few written on the trans-Canada train, one about the grand sport of LUGE and one about a certain island in a certain city that for some bizarre reason is still covered in airport tarmac and airplanes.
