How do you feel about the Simpsons Movie? Are you excited? I have low expectations. I can't think of any sitcom that was ever made into a really good film. It involves stretching the material too far.
Same here. I'll definitely see it, but with as bad as they've been the past few seasons, I'm not holding my breath. The only way a Simpsons movie could ever be great is if it were rated "R". :D

That may be the case, but I think in this instance, it's even simpler: the Simpsons hasn't been good in about seven years, and even that might be generous. So I don't see any possible way the movie could not suck. I won't spend money on it, but if it gets better reviews than I expect, I might get it from Netflix eventually.

It might not be the greatest movie ever, but I have some hope for it. No, the show isn't as good as it has been, but it's improved over where it was a few years ago. The previews have all looked good (although I wonder if the previews are all gags, and the movie will have nothing to do with them) and if nothing else, the impossibility of pulling it off has lowered our expectations enough that it'll have a good chance of being surprisingly good.
If nothing else, it'll be better than the new Transformers movie.

I thought of something that would make me see the film for sure. If they showed an, Itchy and Scratchy cartoon first. Not one of the made for TV ones but one of the early theatrical releases. Perhaps the first one.
Be careful Itchy he's Irish! You must first create an account to post.
