Poll: Where do you keep your butter?

On the counter. 2 (11%)
In the fridge. 16 (89%)
Discussion: Ever heard of a "Strumstick"?
Dave Milligan · 17 years, 9 months ago

Just wondering if anybody here has, can play, or generally knows anything about a 3 stringed musical instrument called a "Strumstick".

I find it interesting, but have the musical prowess of an african voilet.

Just wondering if anybody has rocked a party with one or how easy they actually are to learn.

Thanks.

Jennifer Kimball plays (or used to play) one. It's got an interesting sound, and I'm guessing it's probably fairly easy to learn.

Lots of folk musicians play them, they are actually dulcimers. They sell them at FRFF. They have a reputation of being very easy to play. I don't know if that is justified.

That's a good sign... everyone knows how good Robert Plant is!

Oh good, I'm not the only counter-butter person.

It keeps it soft people.

Though the remaining butter does go in the fridge.

I keep it in the fridge and pop in in the microwave for 10 seconds before I serve it.

My wife is a counter-butter person, and I'm not, and that's interesting, because I'm a counter-culture person, and she's not . . .

and I don't know what a Strumstick is, but it sounds like a part of a fretboard that I would deep fry and enjoy with mashed potatoes.

The pumpkin is optional.
