There's different types of Parrot Bay (of course, these days I guess there's different types of Malibu, too.) of course, but  comparing Coconut to Coconut, I'd say (in my opinion) Malibu is more....coconuttier... I'm not sure that's a word, but it works well.

As for what's better... well are you shooting it?  If so, are you planning on chasing it, and with what?  Mixing it?  If so, mixing it with what?  Parrot's prolly better to shoot - it's a little less likely to end up making you think you've just drunk suntan lotion.  (Yes, it's got that much of a dry sort of coconut thing going.  I suspect it's a less-harsh equivilent to doing a coconut version of 99 Bananas, if you're familiar.)  But if you're looking for the coconut to come through when mixing, I'd go with the Malibu - Malibu & Pineapple, for example, is wonderful.

the nicest thing you can do with rum on a hot day is a mojito. use a good, non-flavored light rum. the GFP recipe is first crush some mint leaves in the bottom, then a shot of lime juice, a shot of rum (you can slip and adda little more), 2 teaspons of sugar - stir - add crushed ice and top off with seltzer. stop by at the GFP at FR 2007 and ask for one.
