George. In the biggest way. Ask for my problems with John Lennon sometime.

I may not think Paul is the most talented...that's a debate for the ages, even within my own mind...but he has the biggest emotional hold on me. I fell for him when I was 9 years old, after all. :) He was also my very first concert when I was 13. I begged my father to take me and he gave in. It was the best experience of my life for many years. That sentence made no sense. I mean for many years that held the spot in my memory as the best time I'd ever had.
A lot of my Beatles obsession has faded...and in recent years I've been more critical of Paul's writing...but when it comes down to it he's still my favorite Beatle...and while that concert may not be the BEST time of my life anymore...it still fills me with happy memories....especially because I shared it with my dad and he's no longer here. Um. I shouldn't be allowed to write at 6am. :)
I don't have a problem with any of them, but it's always been George for me.
If I put Pete Best on the list, then I'd also have to include Stuart Stutcliffe, Billy Preston, George Martin, Tony Sheridan, The Quarrymen, or any of the other numerous studio musicians they've recorded with.
funny, but the reason I first put my dad's white album on hte record player, (I know! its worth a lot and I shouldn't have played it) at age 13, was because he said he didn't like it, but he kept it because my mother gave it to him as a gift when they were first dating.... if you know anything about the dynamic my father and I have you'll know it was vital that I listen to it.... the beatle craze that followed was inevitable, because well... they rock-ed!
mmmmMike Nesmith! :)
That should be the next poll - who is your favorite monkee? :D Or maybe, what is your favorite Beatle movie? I would have to vote on "help" for that one. :D

Paul was the emotional soul of the group. A rather pensive man, he would just put thoughts down and they reached 40 years of like souls. His words speak of passion, wanting, loving. Yes, he may have written silly love songs, but what's wrong with that?

Ok, so i know john and paul were HUGE, and i admit i have always been a ringo plan...but george is, at least for me, a VERY close second. I mean, my guitar gently weeps...hello!?!

Bad news for ya... I'm pretty certain Eric Clapton plays lead guitar on that track. You must first create an account to post.
