Newly registered here. First saw the lads back in England in 1993? supporting a really great female duo called Pooka. Pooka were great, but Fr�vous were better. Saw them maybe 7,8 times in the 90s, but never here in NA. Glad to see torrent files available: are these still active (don't have a client here at work but will definitely check when I get home). Is pooka get its name from Harvey? Harvey was a pooka.

It may be that Harvey got his name from the Pooka. See http://ne.essortment.com/legendspookair_rycs.htm for a description of what the Pooka is. I know (from talking to Sharon and Tasha (i.e. Pooka)) that the Irish fairy is what they took the name from.

The concert itself was at the Mean Fiddler in Harlesden, for those of you who know London. After that the lads played the Borderline in London, and a string of dates in Slough over a number of years...

So yes perhaps the band got its name directly from the legend without Harvey as an intermediary.

I think the commenting system should probably go under some kind of redesign. If it was an intuitive system, first-time users would not have to he told to use the reply button. Consistent failure to notice the button is not the users' fault.

But then we'd have to think of a new initiation and it would probably involve jello, a glockenspiel, and a large chicken.
