Live/Music Video DVD |
Discussion:
Live/Music Video DVD
from what I remember them saying about their videos, they really weren't intended to be a commercially available product. they meant for them to be used as promotional material when they were current, but not afterward.
and from hearing the way they very publicly badmouthed their own videos on many occasions, I have to believe they're not looking for a wide release. and a live DVD would be kind of odd now since it would be a show from 5 or more years ago. not exactly very current or useful to them, and probably too expensive to make just for our benefit.
I think the best thing to do is find someone with some videos which can be transferred to DVD.
I gave AJ a copy of the opera house VHS, hoping he could convert it to DVD so that we'd have at least one copy that would not degrade.
But yeah, a live DVD would mean getting back together and doing a show just for the sake of filming a DVD. If they were back on tour normally and taped a DVD as an afterthought, that would be a different story. But doing a DVD just for the sake of it would not be financially feasible as only a handful of people would buy it.
Only a handful would buy it but think how many people would pirate it!
