It is that time of year and it is usually worth actually thinking about.
What are you thankful for?
"What is that, some kind of Nazi word?"
"Yep! It's German for 'happiness in the misfortue of others.'" "'Happiness in the misfortune of others'? That is German."
oh, i *heart* avenue q.
i'm thankful for my boy and our amazing friends. i'm thankful for jobs where i gets hugs every day. i'm thankful for coworkers who actually dig and understand me. i'm thankful for good music and my shiny new guitar and independent coffeehouses that support independent musicians with gigs and free ginger tea.

That as sucky as things can be sometimes, I'm thankful it's not worse.

that my husband has a job (albeit only a 1 yr contract...but you never know). things may have sucked a bit this year, but given what others went through, i guess i'm pretty lucky.

the biggest, longest rainbow i've ever seen bloomed over the waterfront right outside the giant window of the cafeteria where i was drawing this afternoon. everyone in line for food came over to loook, then brought their friends in, then went outside to take pictures with it. i couldn't stop grinning.
i'm so lucky to live here.
I love rainbows. The best I ever saw were when I was driving from Sante Fe to Alberqerque. I saw one end of the rainbow through the left sideview mirrow. Then I saw the other end in the right sideview mirror. That prompted me to pull over and look at the perfect horizon to horizon rainbow. When I got to Alberquerque it got even better, it developed into a double rainbow. You could easily see both arcs (the outer arc has the colors reversed) and the darker sky between them.
