there is a way to convert cassettes to digital files and then burn them to cd. I have a shareware program on my desktop computerthat does it. It is time consuming but works pretty well.

What program is that and what equipment do you use?

Sorry for the delay in responding. Its actually not shareware you have to buy it outright. Its not too expensive though and it works very well, just time consuming. It cleans up the sound as well as converting it to a digital format so you can burn it onto a cd.
For cassettes you just need a portable cassette player that you can hook up to the audio input on your computer. The program does the rest.
