Woody Allen fans (of his early or later work or whatever), what would you say his best movies are?
There are so many. Annie Hall is his best.
Sleeper is his funniest. Other great ones are:
There are so many other great ones.
I take it you're a fan! Yeah, I was always sort of averse to Woody Allen because I didn't like nervous humor and I also didn't like "Everything you always wanted to know about sex . . ." But then I saw Bananas and loved it! And then I saw annie hall and fell in love.
Midsummer night's sex comedy was so-so. it wasn't as witty-snappy, and i thought mia farrow was a dead-weight (his chemistry with keaton is SO much better). But thanks for the tips! well since there are "so many other great ones" which ones would you recommend i steer clear of?
The only one I'd steer clear of is Interiors. Actually he did a few more non-comedies. I don't even remember their names. After Interiors I didn't see any of them.
Oh yes, his last film, Melinda and Melinda rocked.
yeah i'm a newly-born worshipper too. Well I definitely plan on renting Sleeper and Take the Money and Run. Also Play it Again Sam and Manhattan.
