Poll: Do you think Fruvous will get back together?

I voted not sure because I don't think anyone is sure, not even the guys in Fruvous. I lean towards thinking that they will play again, I always have thought that and I still believe it.

not in the way that we knew them.

They might play another show some day... but.... it'll never, of course, be like it was.

Right now they are in a trial separation.

at any rate, i don't know. i think that if they did, it would be much different than it was before, and it most likely wouldn't be very soon.

also, when i read this poll this morning, i thought of something. this question was a big part of why i came here...and i find it interesting/amusing/somehow not suprising that it now has a miniscule role in why i stay. :)

I would like to see it happen, personally. I for one am very upset that I have not gotten to see Mike and Dave perform with the worms, Dave and Murray sing with Tory Cassis, or Mike, Murray and Jian sing their new song in Canada a few weeks ago! But all of those events give me hope.

Me? I don't care if it's not the same as before. I like it when artists change and grow and give us new things. Also, maybe one of the reasons it wouldn't be the same as before is because all of the fruheads have grown up. Even if Fruvous were back together in their original form, how many of us (and how many of you in the original "golden days of fru-dom" group) would actually have the time and money to follow them everywhere? I would be happy just to see them putting that amazing chemistry to work again, in whatever form they see fit. I'm not attached to a Platonic idea of the ultimate Fruvous. (though i love the sound of that!)

Three of the guys do indeed want to do a little bit of touring. Nothing huge, maybe the festival circuit in Ontario/Philly and the like. One of 'em is a holdout though...

well, it's true. they're on hiatus. it may not end, but they've not broken up. In fact, Huge on the Luge was released a year after the hiatus started as a Moxy Früvous song. That's not exactly something broken-up bands do.

And since they've not said anything about their status since then, I don't see why everyone is in such a hurry to assume that it's changed.

and if you really think they broke up when the hiatus started, I suggest you look up the word 'hiatus' in a dictionary.

Well, I did tell you, just forgot to invite you. Sorry!��� You can come over sometime and climb into the closet with her. I put some accoustic padding around the closet so I don't have to hear her play all the time.� story: When I first put her there, she got pretty annoying. It seemed like she only knew how to play one song, or just did it over and over again. "I was slung lo and so gung ho, without anything to get me to..." Just sang it constantly, that one verse, trying to think of a word to fit in the end. Fart, impart, cart, heart, smart, cook culinary art... everything. I then put up the soundproof padding. I finally said something after hearing that muffled verse a thousand times. 'Just use start'. Maybe that's what she put on the album, I dunno. Maybe I would if I removed the duct tape from her mouth. I'll do that some time.
