This one labelled "GBS in "Buffalo" and not GBS in New Haven.

GBS was great. Murray looked like he was having fun. It was way too loud though. Both my mics and my ears couldn't handle it. The tape is completely unlistenable, and I still have a ringing sensation in my ears, and whenever anyone talks to me, I hear as though I have a lb of cotton stuck in each ear. It's freakin' folk music people, not rock n' roll...

Amy and I stood behind the stage and our ears were still plugged.

The other taper has similar problems as I did with the SPL. What was with the sound guys tonight???

The Fruvous shows taped at thursday in the square were fine - do they think they need to "crank it up a notch"? Or are they trying to drown out the drunks?

Also, When did "Thursday in the Square" become "I'm just here to drink beer and talk to friends loudly and I don't give a shit about the peformers." ?

I've been to about 6 square shows, this is the first one I've had problems with the high SPL As for the crowd itself, it's always been like that. I think it's just gained in popularity.

ENVY! I Saw them in DC on tuesday, it was AMAZING�- murray� fits in so well with them, what a great band. Wait a minute... Murray was wearing the same shirt...hmmm.....

I have no idea why sound guys think that's a good idea, rock show or not.

I've never had a problem with mics, since I can just pad them down... but still.... I want to enjoy the show THEN.... not have it be an inaudible ringing in my ears for the show, and then hear it for the first time on tape when I get home.

And yes, I've actually had this happen.....

I wouldnt mind if it was.... it looks pretty darned good on our boy Murray.

Waiting outside the GBS bus� (who do they think they are, the rolling stones?! hahaha) and chatting it up with Amy B and Chrissie after the show was insane... it felt so strange, yet so familiar... I MISS IT.� i havent hung out with a fruhead or talked to Mur (or the others) in years and it opene dthe floodgates of memories. It was fun times and i have to admit i would love it if fruvous resumed touring again.� i dont even need a new album, just an excuse to experience it all over again!

I went to the concert.. First time seeing them live.. I took my gf there, she's a big fan.. It was totally awsome.. did anyone record the concert? if so, where can I d/l a copy?

unfortunately, because sound levels were so damn high, and I had to stealth the show (GBS doesn't allow recordings) my recording is completely unlistenable. In fact, it's been deleted all ready... That's how bad it was. There was another taper there who had similar problems. I don't think anyone captured it successfully. Bummer, eh?

Yeah the sound levels were a bit on the up side there.. I wasn't too impressed with the band Stand.

But on another note, did anybody see the two ppl having sex in the building on the left side in back of the stage?? They were about 1/2 way up the building.. Most of the people on the left side of the stage could see it.. It was quite funny.
