Hotmail and Spamkiller?

   Discussion: Hotmail and Spamkiller?
Wintress · 19 years, 11 months ago

I checked my hotmail box recently, only to discover that SpamKiller has sported off with all of my messages.

Any ideas on how to view my email through hotmail still? I apparently can't view things like text, images, etc (read: ANYTHING!!!) through the Spamkiller feature.

*fumes*

at the risk of sounding like someone who doesn't have two hotmail accounts (and I do... and don't follow).... what is "spamkiller"?

spamkiller is a mcafee product, which apparently has an amazingly big number of problems/gliltches....such as deleting "valid" email and never letting the user see it. Oh, and it went through my hotmail folders and removed all the photos and tags, so there went a butt load of photos I was holding onto in my paid hotmail acct.

Oh, well, I'm not surprised.

I would avoid any product like that at all costs.

AVG is the only antivirus anyone needs.

I'm going to guess that AVG is a product of the computer-savvy, butI've not heard of it before. And I'm also going to guess that this wasn't intended as a "you're an idiot for using any other product and therefore deserve the chaos associated with said inferior product" answer. In the meantime, I'm adjusting settings and removing email accounts so they aren't affected.

I was wondering what AVG was too actually.
I'm only computer-savvy half of the time afterall ;-)

My guess is that it's a freely downloaded virus block, or a website-based scanner.

Yes, I know I could easily do a google search for it, but I like the guessing game too much.

Whoops!
Sorry... I thought I posted that as a link.
My bad.

AVG

It is indeed a freeware virus program.

Works great, and doesn't mess up your computer. :)
