Musician's Birthdays

I thought it would be nice to have a forum to let people know that today is the birthday of a musician you care about. Today, February 6, is Bob Marley's birthday.

Have you heard Musician's latest release, Album?

It's awesome!

My favorite track so far is "Song".

eeew, I can't stand Song. I think it's the weakest track on 'Album'. Other Song, however, is brilliant.

Really?? Hrm... maybe "other song" just needs time to grow on me.

It really doesn't do much for me.... I find it's lacking the energy and power of Musician's other music.

Well, the instrument part, plus the other instrument part really make for an interesting arrangement. For me, that's what makes Other Song so great.

But Musician didn't even play any of that.

It was all Legendary Jazzman, Burned-Out Folkie, and No-Talent Girlfriend on backup vocals.

Musician doesn't have a soul anymore, man. It's just about residuals.

come on. Album sucks. Older Stuff is much better.

I basically agree. Have you heard Early Demos? It's really raw and different, but cool in its own way.

I got into Musician durng the Early Demos era, back when Original Drummer was still alive. Man, those were the days.

Oh, so I guess you're one of those fans who thinks less of those of us who only got into Musician after Major Label Album came out, aren't you?

Because of Major Label Album, Musician's concerts were flooded for years with moronic people that only wanted to hear that album's single, Radio Hit.

It's not representative of Musician's real style at all.

If you want to know what's good, you need to try and find Obscure Concept Album With A Lot Of Things On It That Aren't Really Instruments.

Yeah and ever since Musician split from Band, his solo stuff has been severely lacking. You should check out I'm solo now so I have a right to be pretentious and moody to see what I mean.

Everyone knows Major Label Album is just where they're trying to be like Other Older Much More Famous Musician, in order to get radio play.

Do you remember Original Drummer's other band Sideproject? I'd love to get my hands on a copy of their album My Chance to Sing Lead Vocals.

Original Drummer also had some... interesting... moments. Have you ever heard The I Recorded This In My Mom's Basement When I Was Really, Really High Tape?

No, it's musician's birthdays. apparently he/she has more than one, which is an interesting accomplishment. :)

I would hope people already know that december 7th is Waitsmas.... or tom waits' birthday.

On this day, people are to celebrate the birth of our demi-god by drinking a lot of your alcoholic beverage of choice. :)
